¡Hola Chicos!
El día martes fue la última clase de mis alumnos en la academia antes de semana santa. Desde hace días he estado ideando junto a Elieska, mi compañera de la academia, hacer una pequeña exposición de arte donde cada uno presente una obra de arte en la cual apliquen las técnicas aprendidas hasta ahora.
En el curso de pintura no contamos con muchas actividades especiales para los niños, así que el hacer una exposición los motivará a ellos y a sus padres les permitirá ver sus avances.
En esta clase cuento con dos niveles: nivel I y nivel II, y aunque el nivel I aún no termina, quise que igual comenzaran a trabajar en sus obras de arte.

Tuesday was the last class of my students at the academy before Easter. For days I have been thinking together with Elieska, my partner in the academy, to make a small art exhibition where each one presents a work of art in which they apply the techniques learned so far.
In the painting course we don't have many special activities for the children, so doing an exhibition will motivate them and their parents to see their progress.
In this class I have two levels: level I and level II, and although level I is not finished yet, I wanted them to start working on their artwork.
Cómo no he parado los últimos días con todo lo del evento, no he tenido tiempo de organizarme mejor en cuanto al material de apoyo de las clases. Esto es algo en lo que estaré trabajando durante semana santa.
No pude llevar a los niños material variado para que pudieran inspirarse para sus obras, pero por suerte tenía dos libros de artística que le había quitado prestados a mi compañera para las clases.
Se los presté para que tuvieran referencia y ellos comenzaron a buscar ideas.
Since I haven't stopped for the last few days with the event, I haven't had time to organize myself better in terms of the support material for the classes. This is something I will be working on during Easter.
I wasn't able to bring the kids varied material so they could get inspiration for their artwork, but luckily I had two art books that I had borrowed from my partner for the classes.
I lent them to them for reference and they started looking for ideas.
Cada uno de ellos me consultó su idea y comenzaron a trabajar en sus bocetos sobre una hoja. La idea es que tuvieran chance de equivocarse y mejorar sus bocetos antes de llevarlos al pequeño lienzo de prueba.
Algunos de ellos no tenían idea de como trazar ciertas cosas así que fui dándole las pautas necesarias haciéndoles las referencias en la pizarra.
Each of them consulted me about their idea and started working on their sketches on a sheet of paper. The idea was to give them a chance to make mistakes and improve their sketches before taking them to the small test canvas.
Some of them had no idea how to draw certain things so I gave them the necessary guidelines by making the references on the board.
Una vez listos los bocetos comenzaron a trazar las líneas sobre los liencitos y a agregarles color. Cada uno fue libre de elegir el tono con el que trabajarían sus obras.
Once the sketches were ready, they began to draw the lines on the canvases and add color to them. Each one was free to choose the tone with which they would work on their works.
La niña más pequeña al principio no tenía idea de como trazar el dibujo que había elegido representar. Luego de estar batallando una hora con el lápiz, le dije "vamos a trabajar tu y yo en conjunto para que puedas hacer una linda pintura".
Ella escogió un video que tenían en mi teléfono sobre una pintura de unas flores. Como contaba con el paso a paso fuimos guiándonos de ahí y comenzamos a pintar.
Yo le daba las instrucciones, pintaba un poco para que ella supiera como hacerlo y ya luego ella hacía el resto.
Así logró hacer un degradado hermoso y unas flores aún más lindas. Logramos superar ese pequeño percance del comienzo.
The younger girl at first had no idea how to draw the picture she had chosen to represent. After struggling for an hour with the pencil, I told her "let's you and I work together so you can make a nice painting".
She chose a video they had on my phone of a painting of flowers. As I had the step by step instructions we went from there and started painting.
I gave her the instructions, painted a little so she knew how to do it and then she did the rest.
She managed to make a beautiful gradient and even more beautiful flowers. We managed to overcome that little mishap at the beginning.
Nos quedamos sin tiempo pero esperamos para la próxima clase terminar estas pequeñas obras. Aún no sabemos si los pasaremos a un nuevo lienzo, ya preparado e ideal para este tipo de pinturas y acordes a la exposición que queremos hacer.
Estos fueron hecho sobre cartulina que estaba pegada sobre un cartón y a pesar de ser algo previo están quedando súper bien. Ya en pocos días les estaré compartiendo como quedaron.
Al salir como siempre quedé feliz por el progreso de mis niños y por lo aprendido en la clase gracias a ellos. ♥
We ran out of time but we hope to finish these small works by the next class. We still don't know if we will move them to a new canvas, already prepared and ideal for this kind of paintings and according to the exhibition we want to do.
These were made on cardboard that was glued on a cardboard and in spite of being something previous they are looking great. In a few days I will be sharing with you how they turned out.
As always I was happy for the progress of my children and for what I learned in the class thanks to them. ♥
