¡Hola Chicos!
No se imaginan lo complicada que estuvo esta semana por el tema de la electricidad y el caloooor horrible que ha estado haciendo. No ha sido facil, pero logramos sobrevivir.
Tenía muchos días que no abría mi blog y me recibió una linda notificación, y es que cumplí 8 años acá en Hive 🥹💜.
Lo genial de esto es que puedo revisar mi blog y ver un poco de como eran las cosas tiempo atrás y al comparar todo con mi presente me alegro un mundo, pues hemos logrado un gran avance y las cosas que antes eran un sueño un tanto inalcanzable, hoy son parte de nuestro presente.
Hemos crecido muchos aspectos, no solo de edad, y poder compartir con ustedes todo esto, definitivamente lo ha hecho especial.
Pero bueno volviendo al tema de hoy, quiero compartirles algo que pinté ayer, en uno de esos momentos de estrés por no tener electricidad.
Tenía días queriendo pintar, y a pesar del calor dije "vamos a hacerlo, porque pintar ayuda a qué pase el tiempo más rápido".

You can't imagine how complicated this week has been because of the power outages and the horrible heat we've been having. It hasn't been easy, but we managed to survive.
I hadn't opened my blog in ages, and I got a lovely notification: I've turned 8 years old here on Hive 🥹💜.
The great thing about this is that I can look back at my blog and see how things were a while ago, and comparing it all to now makes me so happy. We've come a long way, and things that were once a somewhat unattainable dream are now part of our lives.
We've grown in many ways, not just in age, and being able to share all of this with you has definitely made it special.
But anyway, getting back to today's topic, I want to share something I painted yesterday during one of those stressful moments when we didn't have electricity.
I had been wanting to paint for days, and despite the heat I said "let's do it, because painting helps time pass faster".
Habían pasado ya 3 horas, y las últimas dos horas siempre son las más complicadas, por eso hacer una actividad que me ayudara a despejar la mente me venía perfecto.
El clima los últimos días ha hecho insoportable cualquier tarea, pero estaba decidida a sacar estar obra adelante.
Mokka, nuestra perrita, me acompañó en todo momento, dándome ánimos para no desanimarme en el proceso.
Three hours had already passed, and the last two are always the hardest, so doing something to clear my mind was perfect.
The weather these past few days has made any task unbearable, but I was determined to finish this project.
Mokka, our dog, stayed by my side the whole time, encouraging me and keeping me from getting discouraged.
Primero quise pintar el fondo con manchas, esto para soltar un poco la mano y agregarle esos colores que tenía muchas ganas de ver sobre el papel.
Luego hice un trazo suave sobre el papel ya seco a lápiz. Quería hacer un pollo playero que ví en Pinterest días atrás, pero que se pareciera a mi esposo, pues a él le encanta que lo pinte en diferentes versiones.
Luego con el pincel y la pintura blanca tracé las líneas guía y luego comencé a darle detalles.
Así poco a poco todo fue tomando forma. Ya luego se esto no tengo fotos del proceso porque me dejé llevar y la idea era despejarme.
First, I wanted to paint the background with splatters, to loosen up my hand and add those colors I was so eager to see on paper.
Then I made a light sketch on the dry paper with a pencil. I wanted to draw a beach chicken I'd seen on Pinterest a few days earlier, but one that looked like my husband, since he loves it when I paint him in different versions.
Then, with a brush and white paint, I drew the guide lines and started adding details.
Little by little, everything took shape. After that, I don't have any photos of the process because I got carried away, and the idea was to clear my head.
Cuando el sol se había ocultado casi por completo, le di los toques finales y llegó la electricidad. Así, sin darme cuenta habían pasado dos horas en las que me centré por completo en lo que estaba pintando y la verdad me encantó como quedó.
Disfruté mucho el proceso y a mi esposo le encantó. Decidí hacer de esto una serie para que cada vez que esté en casa, de día y sin electricidad, tenga algo genial y productivo que hacer y a lo mejor, venda estás obras luego. Ya veremos que pasa.
When the sun had almost completely set, I put the finishing touches on it, and then the electricity came back on. Before I knew it, two hours had passed, during which I was completely absorbed in what I was painting, and I was truly delighted with how it turned out.
I thoroughly enjoyed the process, and my husband loved it too. I decided to make this a series so that whenever I'm home during the day without electricity, I'll have something fun and productive to do, and maybe I'll even sell these pieces later. We'll see what happens.
