¡Hola Chicos!
Volvemos por acá luego de algunas semanas de ausencia. La verdad no saben el bloqueo tan fuerte que he tenido en varios aspectos de mi vida, que terminó alejándome de una manera muy fuerte de muchas de las cosas que me apasionan.
Y es que en casa se están presentando unos problemitas que no me están permitiendo ni descansar bien y esto ha interferido muchísimo en mis actividades.
Pero hoy, que tengo que salir desde temprano dije "vamos a iniciar el día de forma diferente", a pesar de las circunstancias. Tengo fé de que haciendo un máximo esfuerzo, aunque cueste bastante, podremos salir a flote de este hueco donde estábamos ahorita.
Volviendo al tema por el que estoy acá, hoy les quiero compartir este encargo que tuve hace poco, se trata de un bolso que pinté de manera muy express para una cliente frecuente.
Ella me escribió un día que necesitaba un regalo para una amiga y que no sabía que podía obsequiar. Fue entonces cuando le ofrecí lo que tenía acá y entre esas cosas estaba el pintar un Tote Bag personalizado.
Le encantó la idea e inmediatamente me pasó una idea pasa que la trabajara, así que comenzamos. Digo que fue un trabajo express porque ella me escribió y solo tenía dos días para pintar. A mí me gusta trabajar con muchísimo más tiempo de anticipación, pues son muchas otras las cosas que debo realizar en mi día a día, pero acepté el trabajo a pesar de esto.

We're back after a few weeks away. Honestly, you wouldn't believe the major block I've been experiencing in several areas of my life, which has really distanced me from many of the things I'm passionate about.
There have been some issues at home that haven't allowed me to get any rest, and this has greatly interfered with my activities.
But today, since I have to leave early, I decided, "Let's start the day differently," despite the circumstances. I have faith that by making a maximum effort, even though it's quite difficult, we can pull ourselves out of this rut we're in right now.
Getting back to the reason I'm here, today I want to share a recent commission I had: a bag I painted very quickly for a regular customer.
She wrote to me one day saying she needed a gift for a friend and didn't know what to get her. That's when I offered her what I had here, and among those things was painting a custom tote bag.
She loved the idea and immediately gave me a design to work on, so we got started. I say it was a quick job because she contacted me and only had two days to paint. I like to work with much more lead time, since I have many other things to do every day, but I accepted the job despite that.
Lo primero que hice fue marcar el diseño sobre el bolso, esto lo hice casi por completo al ojo.
Trazar sobre tela es un reto, pues no hay mucho margen de error debido a que no es la superficie más borrable del mundo. Luego le tomé una foto para obtener la aprobación de la cliente y ya teniendo esto inicié con el color.
The first thing I did was trace the design onto the bag, almost entirely freehand.
Tracing on fabric is challenging, as there's not much room for error since it's not the easiest surface to erase. Then I took a photo to get the client's approval, and once I had that, I started on the color.
Me gusta colocar primero los fondos porque son las zonas más extensas y luego voy con las figuras más pequeñas.
En ese momento se nos fue la electricidad en casa y como pude con un bombillo recargable que tenemos, finalicé con los colores que ya tenía mezclados.
I like to paint the backgrounds first because they're the largest areas, and then I work on the smaller figures.
At that moment, the power went out at home, and I managed to finish with the colors I had already mixed, using a rechargeable light bulb we have.
De ahí nos fuimos con los detalles, que eran todos objetos de papelería. Los diseños originales eran un poco planos y yo le agregué un poco de sombras para darle profundidad.
Así fue entonces como finalicé con el encargo, que a pesar de haber sido encargado casi que de un día para otro, logramos algo bastante lindo.
Es lindo volver a escribir mis post, esto es algo que desde hace años disfruto mucho hacer pues me ayuda bastante a liberar tensiones.

From there, we moved on to the details, which were all stationery items. The original designs were a bit flat, so I added some shading to give them depth.

It's great to be writing my posts again; it's something I've really enjoyed doing for years because it helps me relieve stress.
