Hello friends, I hope you are well. I recently went to Venezuela after three years. Going by land from San Antonio to Valencia was an odyssey because of the large number of alcabalas. But what I want to share with you is that after 6 years I visited my favorite place in the world: The beach. For me, the beach is the place where you can relax, get rid of bad energy, find yourself, and even rejuvenate the soul. In Colombia, I have not had the opportunity to go, and being able to be there after so long fills me with happiness.

Salí junto a mi familia (6 adultos y 2 niños).

I would like to tell you about the costs of boats, houses, peñeros, food, etc. I went out with my family (6 adults and 2 children). The first day we arrived at the house where we were going to stay in Tú cacas, about a kilometer from the entrance to the village, it had a cost of 160 dollars a day, it had 3 bedrooms, all with air conditioning, 2 bathrooms, living-dining room, equipped kitchen, a large patio with swimming pool and barbecue area, plus parking for two vehicles. A bathing suit costs $35 and up, beach sandals $20, and a beach hat $10. That day we took a boat to Playuela, which cost $100. These costs vary according to the number of people and the distance to the key. Likewise, a dozen oysters are between 5 and 8 dollars, but if you buy after 4:00 pm you can get up to 3 dozen for the same price.

A small plate of ceviche costs 20 dollars and the simplest lobster costs 35 dollars. The food is overpriced, I recommend you to buy everything in your city of origin, any little thing in a market or bodega in Tú cacas can cost you up to 10 dollars more. On the second day, we ate empanadas at the famous Mallorquin, a must if you want to eat a delicious freshly made empanada, they cost between 1.5 and 2.5 dollars, but they are well filled and big.

This day we went to the marina and took a boat for a cost of 390 dollars, this particular boat has a capacity for 13 people. This boat initially stopped at Cayo Sombrero. A luxury beach, a paradise, in the water you can see the fish, it is crystal clear and warm. The front part is full of boats and each one with a different musical genre, which breaks a little the peace I was looking for. However, if you walk to the back of the key, everything changes, there are few people, and no boats, and you can sit and relax, meditate, think, feel and find yourself looking at the immensity of the sea and perceiving all the tranquility that gives you the sound of the waves of the sea.

The advantage of going by boat is that you don't need to take your things off the boat, so if you want to stay on top and just read a book, you will be more comfortable. After a while there, we went to fishermen, the same dynamic, many boats with different music. On this key we observed a lovely little boat stand full of flowers, it was a mini-bar, you could say. They offer all kinds of tropical drinks, piña coladas, cocadas, daiquiris, etc. We ordered cicadas and piña coladas, but to be honest, they were not very good, so I do not recommend them.

The next stop was in Los Juanes, where our boat ran out of battery, but the guy who was driving us changed it in a moment with the help of other boat drivers. Los Juanes is the key to the rumba par excellence, it is basically a disco in the sea, as the water reaches your chest and makes it a perfect place to be, enjoy the music and a good drink. Then we went to Playa Azul, here we had lunch (we took cold pasta salad) we were there for a short time, I didn't like it very much, I felt the water was too cold for my taste, I don't know if it was almost 4:00 pm.

The last key we visited is called 360, it is relatively new, partially emerged 4 years ago, the water reaches your knees, you can see the sand, but it never overhangs the water, it has no vegetation or a place to get in to protect yourself from the sun, so you must go by boat. We were told that this key is frequently used for photo shoots for brides and grooms about to get married. Here we ate oysters (much tastier than the previous day), but since it was late, the guy offered us a good price for several dozen.

We returned in the late afternoon, we bought some tequeños in Tucacas, they cost 1 dollar for 5 small tequeños, very tasty for a snack but definitely not enough to satisfy our hunger. Most of the food we ate we bought in Valencia and took prepared because as I mentioned before, the costs in Tucacas are really high.

Well guys I hope you liked this story of my family trip to the beach, I enjoyed it very much. Although Venezuela is not going through a good time or for some, it is getting better but there is still a long way to go, there is nothing like my country, the landscapes, the warm waters, its people, its flavors, its smells, there is no comparison. Greetings and kisses to all
