Splinterlands Packs Value
This short article doesn't pretend to be a crystal ball and can't predict the future value of unopened Chaos Legion packs when they finally hit the market.
It is just a retrospective of how the price of various editions is right now. It will serve as a base to compare the movement and the value when we are so far with the fourth edition.
Lets's look at the current values of the unopened packs for the following editions:
And the prospect price for Chaos Legion packs via these Hive-Engine tokens:

The price for one $Chaos pack will be $4 yet you'll need a voucher to buy it.
What can we deduct from the table above? The older and the scarcer the edition is the more valuable are the packs. No surprise there.
Will these prices change when the first Chaos Legion packs will arrive at the market? I don't believe so.

I foresee the CL packs reaching at least $30, but with the number of players that have joined the game and that will continue to grow that might push it higher. My exit strategy criteria is for at least X10.

Ten times more packs will surely mean something. Yet, with * Voucher-controlled* distribution, there will be a gradual quantity curve which might help the price go higher. We'll see.
