We Don't Even Know How Lucky We Are

The last week or the last ten days to be more precise, were pretty tough for quite many in a different way. Millions have been fearing for their lives, while other millions have been worrying about them around the world. It is terrible to watch what's going on a few hundreds of kilometers away and knowing you can't do anything to change it. That feeling of helplessness is terrible. You know others are lacking food, basic products to live their lives and there's no way you can help them.

However, thanks to the our blockchain, we're not so helpless anymore and those trapped in the war zone can also have help. We've been able to keep in though with them, encourage them every day and give them strength to fight for freedom. I'm not going to reveal details about what has been going on behind the scenes. Let that be my secret, we're not here to gain fame but to help.

Help On The Way

The whole world has mobilized, everyone is donating something, no matter how poor they are, because everyone wants to help. Volunteers have been working day and night to collect donations, to distribute these donations to refugees, to help them find their way to another destination and so on. I'm sure many of us have already donated as much as it has been possible.

But the biggest help that we could send has been that to the war zone. Because sending supplies at this point to those hot zones is not possible, financial aid has been the only way and having a platform like Hive, where one click is enough to send money anywhere in the world is priceless. Literally priceless, life saving actually.

Our friend @zirochka has decided to stay and do whatever she can to fight the evil. She's a true hero in my eyes and I'm not alone feeling like this. It's been obvious that at some point they are going to need help and it has also been obvious that help is going to come and we have the proof of how amazing this community is.

For them every penny can be life saving. No matter how little you have, it adds up and can contribute to helping them resist another day. If you're willing to help, please see details in this post.

Another case has been to get @priyanarc out of the country. Unfortunately that has not been as easy as transferring some funds from one wallet to another. No one could go to Kharkiv to get her as driving 1200km from the border to Kharkiv in a war zone is impossible (we need teleportation invented a.s.a.p.), so she had to try to catch a train on her own and she finally did it. She's in Poland now, where she'll be taken care of the volunteers, who are providing food, hygiene products and the basics for refugees. I hope she can have a rest before leaving to another destination. So we could not help her much in getting out of the country, but she's going to get help now that she has crossed the border, thanks to amazing people.

We're Lucky To Have Such A Great Community

This has been another proof how generous this community is. You could see the comments on these posts, how many have been worried sick about those stuck in the war zone. Unfortunately in some cases you can't do much, but even gathering and passing on information can help.

The nightmare is far from over. Some of our users are out of the immediate danger. Fleeing with one backpack and leaving your whole life behind can save your life but the hardships won't stop. Rebuilding their lives won't be easy. Those that are out of Ukraine will get help from the authorities but those that have decided to stay will have a lot to suffer. Even if the war stops, will be hard to live a normal life in those conditions. I know we can help and support them, so let's do it.

I decided to use some flower photos for this post, although these have nothing to do with the topic. It feels good to forget the war for a second and remember the good days, even though we know we have to return to reality at some point.

It's hard to believe this is happening. So glad @priyanarc is safe. Worried for our Ukrainian friends and at the same time feeling blessed to be part of this generous, caring community.

I know my thank you is not enough, you have done a lot for me already, the more I could even imagine and I am grateful to you. I was not in shape to say thanks or to talk but now I hope I will start doing better. All I can say...

Thank you so much...

No need to thank me as I haven't done anything. I wish there has been more I could do, but it's difficult when I'm so far away. Focus on yourself, try to sort things out and let me know if I can help in any way 🤗🐾

Thank you again for passing on the information and for being the silent partner in helping. You have done more than you realize.

God Bless you.

God bless you to as you're always helping and stop making a hero out of me as I haven't done anything 😄 I wish I could have done more.

Let's focus on how can we help those who have been forced to leave with a backpack.

I am sending some Hive, but, if you know of a better way or more direct, let me know. I am doing the reward app and sending Hive directly.

Your support, direction, words, and dedication to the cause are heartfelt by many. You never stopped doing. ;)

I'm also sending HIVE for them and upvoting them as they need every help. As long as they have access to their Hive account, I suppose sending HIVE is the best way. I'm keeping liquid HIVE in my wallet to be ready to help.

If you read @zirochka's latest post, you can see the funds have been used for a good cause. Let's see where those, who have managed to exit the war zone land and if there is a better way, we contribute according to the situation.

Agreed. It was @cardboard that inspired me to use the reward app for my posts to send them. I am also keeping some liquid Hive also so that I can send it when needed. So far, they have been able to gain access to it. I have sent a bit to those that I know have exited, to give them a little bit of peace, knowing they aren't without something.

I just read @zirochka's post and was so happy to hear that they will be warmer! That made me feel like every little bit helps. Thank you for passing on your info. It is much appreciated.
