The White Magnolia
Three days ago I posted some magnolia photos and shared my opinion why the buds are more beautiful than the flower itself even though I consider magnolia the queen of spring.
It's not very common around here, there are only a few magnolia trees in the area, but it looks like if I open my eyes and pay attention to the details the right time, I am able to find more. Yeah, shame on me for not discovering these earlier, but most of the time we are blind in the daily rush and don't look around.
When you have 1000 things in your mind, you don't care about flowers, buds or any beauty nature has to offer as you're concerned about how to get things solved. I'm speaking from experience and also trying to change that as disconnecting from reality for a few minutes, half an hour can bring you positive results. It's hard to start, even harder to get used to practicing that, but definitely doable. Again, I'm talking from experience as I'm trying to adopt this routine. It's working so far and I intend to keep going.
Two months ago I started monitoring the buds as they seemed very interesting, nothing like the other buds. Now that I think of, it took two months for these flowers to open. However, the time for these to open has come and last week was able to take these photos, along with the pink ones.
So long story short, I was able to discover a white magnolia tree in my neighborhood and even more in the city center. The one close to me is not so old, therefore the branches are still low and reachable, there's no need for a ladder.
My goal was to take these photos and see how different this flower is from the pink one. First of all, even though the bud looks the same, the flower has a lot more petals and the petals are not so wide. To be honest, if I didn't know it was magnolia, would have not recognized it just looking at the open flower. I bet there are hundreds of types worldwide, so who knows, maybe next year I will discover more types around here.
So if I were to choose between the pink and white magnolia, I would choose both as both are nice, but the white is nicer and I still think the buds are more interesting then the flowers. Maybe I am becoming a bud addict, who knows.

Amazing pictures thanks for sharing
Thank you!
You are welcome friend
The Magnolias really are the Queens of Spring! It is a shame that the flowers fall so quickly. My star magnolia is already dropping petals galore and it has only been a week. :-(
I was thinking the other day about how some trees, bushes flower for one week and then are just green for the rest of the year. If you're not home that week, you miss it. Look at tje golden shower for example.
We call them the same :)
Good to know as I'm learning 🙂
The white color is very beautiful and clean 🤗🤗
I think so too 🙂
🤗🤗✌
I am always seeing all details and at the same time my head is in the cloud .
Weird dynamic i must say .... you are such an amazing photographer , i am happy you take the time to focus and bring us this joy , i had many smiles from that post 🤍
Oh, thank you! I'm not sure about being a good photographer, I do what I can with what I have, I guess. But I've changed a lot lately, especially since the war began as I'm starting to see we have to enjoy every moment of life as you never know how much you have left. That's the sad reality 😞
