The End

Sunday morning I finally got the occasion to try out my new phone camera outside, so at around 9 am I headed to the park to hunt for something to photograph. I knew the roses were already gone, but this park is huge and the opportunities are endless, if you look for details.

When I got there I saw the roses were cut off, which is a natural process that has to be done at the end of every season. I knew it's going to happen at some point, but was still hoping it can get delayed for me. Well, it didn't but lucky me, whoever did the trimming, did a crappy job and left a few beauties for me.

Rose leaves are especially beautiful this year as they change colors. These leaves are dark green during the year and they turn red and green in October, November.

I was lucky as these roses are on the north side of the park, the sun only reaches the spot midday, so there was still frost on the leaves, but some at some places the frost already started to melt, due to temperature rising.

I absolutely love these leaves.

Besides the leaves, there were a few roses left for me. Obviously there were not many to choose from, but the ones left were beautiful, in my eyes. This bud for example has one petal covered by frost, while the melted frost is coming out of it already.

This poor rose already started to turn yellow, which is a sign that it won't last for long.

This poor bud is already too late to the party and will never have the chance to open. Not this year.

And another one. Poor buds.

I suspect this one has also never had the chance to fully open. This was the maximum it could do and then came the frosty season.

This is my favorite of the rose photos.

There was ice on the benches too.

I wanted to shoot some bug macros too for @livinguktaiwan as she's a huge fan and she's also my friend. So I thought I would dedicate a few nice bug photos to her, but unfortunately bugs are weak, not tough enough for below zero temperature and at this time of the year you can find none. So I'm late with that, but I can promise to get some, especially for you @livinguktaiwan in March or so 😁

Overall I'm very satisfied with my new camera, but sadly I had to realize there's a huge difference between how I can see the photos on my new mobile screen and on my laptop, which is not old as I bought it two years ago as brand new and it's a DELL. This made me realize how different you, who is reading my post now is going to see it, depending on your device you are using.

With this, I truly believe, this is the end of it. No more flower or leaf photos as there will be none shortly. Next I'm really hoping to shoot some snowy photos as the weather forecast said rain and snow all over the country but we got the rain instead of snow. It's raining since yesterday.

That phone camera captured some great images. It's amazing how good they are these days.
We just cut back our roses this week. 👍

Indeed, you buy a phone and you get a computer and a good camera too, 3 in 1.

I think maybe this is the time to do it. I've never had roses though.

I think calling them smartphones is misleading marketing.
They are as you know hand held computers that can make phone calls and take amazing photos.
I suppose smartphone is easier to say than handheld computer, camera and phone?😂👍

I think you're right. Imagine these are phones and they should be used for making phone calls but that is maybe the least used function. We have some many other ways to communicate nowadays, it's crazy 😃

Beautiful frosty photos, very well captured. I'd say a nice hot cup of tea or coffee hit the spot after getting back in out of the cold..... Brrrr 🥶 ☕

Thank you! A nice cup of tea 🍵 is always nice as I don't drink coffee anymore. But actually it wasn't so cold, it's just the photos look like it was cold 🙂

Thanks for stopping by.
