Mother Nature And Man Made Technology

Today I'm going to play around with some photos, edit them, make them black and white to see which version is better. Some of the photos will not have a second version though as not everything looks good in black and white, but I'll try my best to deliver.

Let's start with this leaf, that I photographed a month ago. I loved how the veins looked like at the back of the leaf and the raindrops on it, as it was after a good rain.

Next, a medieval brick wall, that I photographed, when I starting to pay more attention to how to line things. I'm obsessed with bricks so obviously this is interesting to me.

This supposed to be the black and white version, a quite nice one actually, but my photo editor decided to play pranks on me, so looks like there will be no black and white photos today. This sucks, but I have no choice but stick to what works. Damn app!

They say nature is always nice as it is and color photos are preferred. This photo was taken at the end of September and was hoping to see some nice colors on the big screen. It's not so colorful, but it's still kind of nice.

Then I tried my photo editor and it was working. Crazy thing but I'm glad I can use it. Here I applied the Holga-ish filter, to make the viewer focus on the tree as it drives the eye towards the center of the photo. Now you can decide which one is better, the original or the black and white.

This is the hazelnut tree at my dad's. It was the first time I took photos and tried to observe the hazelnut tree during autumn. It is definitely not like any other tree.

This fellow was captured in June. I remember how difficult it was to take a macro photo as there was a breeze and that spider was really tiny. It's not the best quality, but the other ones were even worse.

Another photo from June, when the lilies were flowering. Now all that is gone, there are no flowers growing and soon the grass will be gone as well.

These are some rose of Sharon buds, or Hibiscus syriacus. This is an odd photo, but still valuable for me for the setup of the buds.

Finally some flower buds, but I have no idea what kind of buds are.

Usually I ask which is your favorite, at the bottom of each post, but I think I just keep quiet this time.

I liked the black and white color of the tree (the fourth one). The focus on the tree is suitable and related to the background of the old building, it seems suitable for shooting a mild thriller movie.

I thought so too, the black and white suits it.

Hehehe, I think I will still say my best out of all of them because you asked indirectly and because I can't just not say the one that got me staring for some time.

The lilies you took at June were the best for me because of how colorful and beautiful it is. I think I prefer these pictures at the original colors to that of technology but I think that is because of the app you are using though. Try out In shot app, it might be a little better, hehe.

Thank you for sharing these beauties of nature with us ❤️.

Thanks for the feedback. I like that flower too as it's nice and the color too, but this photo is not the best.

I need to find a decent photo editor and get better at it.

It's my pleasure Erikah. Yeah it's not the best but I do love it's simplicity.

I hope you find a good photo editor soon.

I love the dew on the leaves, all the images have their charm, but the one I liked the most is the one of the buds of the rose of Sharon, they are beautiful and I would like to see the flower hehehe, it will be for another occasion.

It's very interesting to see that each user likes a different photo. That's why I like to mix photos in one post.

You can see how the flower looks here. Obviously this one has a different color, but judging from the bud, this one would be dark pink and a darker pink in the middle.

I'd love to see what you can do with that leaf in black and white, it could come out really nicely if you can deepen the contrast a bit and bring up the highlights.

Those photos of the rose buds are too lovely, I like how the petals are so tightly curled in still.

I tried black and white with the leaf and did not like the outcome, so that's why did not post it.

Those photos of the rose buds are too lovely, I like how the petals are so tightly curled in still.

That's what I like about these flowers too. The texture of the petals at that stage is amazing.

I think the brick wall looks better in colour, as b&w doesn’t have much contrast. The tree on the other side looks great in b&w. I love the rich colours of flowers too ☺️

What is certain is that I always like the photography pictures that you share,For me the cooler it remains the original color,But the black and white color of the tree looks cool too and all the flower pictures you share look beautiful.

Well, I think you photographed it well but it turned out that black and white filter was not that good for the photo. That's actually a struggle when you apply b&w filter to raw photo because some elements are not suitable for photo. It will look bad. The first photo was the best for me. It could be use for a wallpaper or something. !PIZZA

It's all too beautiful to remember, it's vine leaves, I remember I told you that they were used to protect the noble parts of Adam and Eve.

Let me tell you that the black and white always invite the mystery, the ancient, the history between shadows of time, years telling what may be on the other side and then come to the full images, color, joy, glimmers of hope written in each petal, brick, branches, grass, the bee is life itself that shows our momentum as observers of our world, our universe that is within each one.

These images project you like mirror neurons and speak of the passion and great sensitivity that your soul harbors, Erika.

Thank you, thank you. For this look

Why not ask and be quiet? 😂
I personally love the Holga-ish filter on that tree! I personally don't like to edit many of the photos I post here on Hive because I'm so lazy but seeing how your ordinary tree transformed into something far better than the original one is just so amazing! I don't know if I can stop being lazy edit my photos to be more beautiful when I present them to the world but I'll definitely try something out. Probably I'll make that effort when I post it in this community. 😅

I didn't know that hazelnut looked like that. It's a first!
!PIZZA because I love it!

I love the black and white version of the tree (it hits differently), and the colored version of the bricks.

I am curious though of the B&W version of the leaf with raindrops.

All the photos are great. How I Wish I could take pics like that too!😊

(Edited)

The close-up shots looks so nice. The veins and raindrop on the leaf in the first picture is just beautiful and its a perfect shot.
It looks like you like to capture beauty.
