Different Kind Of Art And Some Fun

Before I my post today, I want to ask you if you have missed art, as I have πŸ˜‚. The gallery I like the most had its summer vacation and was closed for a month. I've been traveling too, so there was no visiting the art gallery. But this morning I put an end to that. I wanted to go on Friday, but had other things on my list, so I made sure to pay them a visit today. I'd like to show you the photos and write about them, while the experience is still fresh.

The exhibition was called Image - Sign and was a unique and interesting one, I've never seen anything similar so far. As soon as I stepped in the exhibition room, knew this is going to be interesting.

After some thinking, I decided to call these "artworks" as I can't find a better word to describe them. These are not just paintings, these are more than that. At first I thought these are painted on wood, but it's not the case. It's canvas with a frame and some extensions added.

Most of the artworks are called Image-Sign-Rite and have a number as well. So I'm only going to drop the title of the artworks that have a different title.

Having a generic title means the artist leaves a lot of room to the viewer's imagination. For example here, you can decide for yourself what you see.

Now let's see, what do you really see here? I was thinking, it could be a bird for example, rough interpretation of course as birds don't look like this. That white thing on the canvas could be a bell or a hat? Dunno, but I like it.

Above The City

I can see the clouds, the peaks of the towers and some signs I can't read, but I like it.

Life Card III.

I can see a woman here, her head and aura, breasts, arms and body, the sun and the moon.

However, look at this. I rotated the artwork upside down, or 180Β°, as you like and it's more clear now. I could not do that at the exhibition, nor stand on my hands to see it upside down, but here it is. A gentleman with mustache, hat and walking stick, in the night. How cool is that? I love it! This is the time when I'm glad we have cameras and smartphones with camera. I think I would have missed the meaning of this if it wasn't for the photo I took. You see things differently at the exhibition and after, in my opinion. You have time to reflect at home and you also have time to process what you saw already. You're not under the influence of the first impression. Maybe it's just a thing I see or the way I see things.

Baroque Flower

This was a tough one as well. I can see a tulip (kinda), a man with a bird on his arm (I think), and a word most likely only @mipiano can spot, read and understand. (Shamelessly tagging her πŸ˜‚ πŸ™ˆ)

Here's a close-up photo of the left corner. Can you see the man and the bird? Am I the only one who can see it? Is that a man and a bird at all?

Self-Reflection

There were these tiny ones, that had mirror incorporated in the painting. I had to find an angle, to avoid photographing myself.

Do you see two legs on the right side o the artwork? Are those legs at all?

A detail that I need to mention here is that most, if not all the artworks were painted on black, or the frame was black. The colors were vivid, which I enjoyed a lot.

Self reflections again with mirrors incorporated.

This is a cropped photo, to show you what it looks like. Now you stand in front of the artwork, you look at the pattern, that contains dots and all kinds of wavy, twisted lines and you also see yourself in the mirror. I suppose that's how we are, that's how our mind works or that's how our personality is. Wavy, twisted.

Basically each exhibition is a guessing game, but this wins the title I think. This is how the artists sees the world, these abstracts represent his thoughts, visions. I don't know about you, but I loved it.

So let's see who liked this exhibition? I hope I'm not the only one.

35 minutes... I am looking at that photo for 35 minutes... I also asked for help so now we are two looking at that πŸ˜‚

I guess you are not referring to the signature, and 2017, but a word. Somewhere in the painting. That man with the Baroque haircut distracts me.

Word.

...

I don't have the answer at the moment...

In this case, we have two options:

  • both of us have good vision and "seeing words in a picture" abilities

  • both of us see things that are not there

πŸ˜‚

The other day we watched The Sixth Sense movie, here is the famous scene from it:

Instead of dead people we imagine there: words on paintings

You know, with art it's always like that. Some tend to see some things, others don't, so ... you know 😁
