Autumn In All Colors

After yesterday's architecture adventure, today I'm back with what nature has to offer these days. I'm in a hurry to capture what I can as I have a feeling that it's not going to last for long this year. Every year is different as there's no way you can create two identical years, not even mother nature is capable of that. However, this early cold is not usual and has consequences.

I've been hoping to take more chestnut photos, so I went to the place where I was hoping I can get some.

20221006_121804a.jpg

I was able to take a few shots, but unfortunately the pods are turning brown already and those on the ground are already dry.

20221006_121818a.jpg

This may be nice, but it is not what I was hoping for, so I'm planning to go to the park in the weekend, where there are many chestnut trees and maybe I'll have more luck capturing the scene I have in mind.

20221006_122452(0)a.jpg

On my way home I spotted this tree, which is not new, but have never known it's so beautiful during autumn.

20221006_122458a.jpg

Having so many colors in one place is nice.

20221006_122509a.jpg

While I was taking these photos, I heard a familiar noise and was hoping to capture what was coming in camera.

20221006_122512a.jpg

Can you see what I am talking about?

20221006_122519a.jpg

How about now?

20221006_122702a.jpg

Then I saw this red tree, which is gorgeous in my opinion, but not matter what angle I tried, none of them were good. So this is the best I could do.

Finally, it's time to show you my lovely flower. The truth is, I have no idea what it is called. We call it ice flower, but most likely that's not its name as nothing similar comes up when searching. I have posted about it in the previous years but can't find the post as I have no idea when it was.

20221006_142636a.jpg

The beauty of this flower is that it's green all year long, then around September or October, it starts to turn pink and that's when it starts flowering as well.

20221006_142655a.jpg

These are the buds and these are macro photos, so the normal size of these flowers are around 2 - 3 cm at this stage.

20221006_142758a.jpg

I finally ran a photo search and this is what I found out.

Hylotelephium spectabile (syn. Sedum spectabile) is a species of flowering plant in the stonecrop family Crassulaceae, native to China and Korea. Its common names include showy stonecrop, iceplant, and butterfly stonecrop. source

So it turns out the ice flower name is not far from the truth as it's called iceplant.

20221006_154504a.jpg

The flower is made of tiny little flowers and it is pink and beautiful.

20221006_154257a.jpg

It still needs two weeks I believe to open, so maybe I'll be back to show it to you.

20221004_121748a.jpg

Ivy can't be missing from this post as there's a need for some colors at the end. It's not so beautiful because drought has its effect on every plant and the ivy is dry as well. Otherwise it would be gorgeous.

I'm so impressed by your photography of autumn! The way you capture the sky through red leaves is really beautiful, and your eye for composition is really amazing. It's clear that you have a real talent for capturing the essence of this season. Thank you so much for sharing.

Oh, thank you! I was lucky with the sky because when the sky is blue, everything is beautiful, especially during autumn, but soon we're going to have a lot of overcast days, so gray will not be so nice :(

I'm not sure about the talent, it's more like try to do what I can with what I have :)

Oh wow. They're all pretty and vibrant. I can't take my eyes off that red tree! I'm not fond of red colours but that shade is superior. Claps for taking beautiful photos.

The ice plant looks familiar. I think I've seen a similar-looking plant before.

I am also in love with the red leaves and always hunting for them. Yesterday I posted some photos of the iceplant, the flowers are open now.

You may not find it as the flower likes a bit of cold and it survive under snow during winter. But who knows.

I'm using my smartphone to take photos and it's not high end so I guess anyone can take such photos, if you choose the right settings.

Thanks for the nice comment.
