¡Hola amigos lectores! ¿Cómo están? Estoy muy contenta porque ya empezó la Feria Internacional del Libro de Buenos Aires que es un evento que espero todos los años. Aquí se pueden conseguir libros en ofertas, con descuentos, sorteos y muchos entretenimientos más, como charlas, autores internacionales, encuentros con otros creadores de contenidos dedicados al mundo del libro. Además es todo un evento cultural que mueve mucha gente. Su duración es del 27 de abril hasta el 15 de mayo. Así que son 3 semanas a puros libros. Por el momento fui una sola vez el domingo 7 de mayo y planeo volver este viernes 12 que hay un encuentro bookfluencer.

Hello reader friends! How are you? I'm very happy because the Buenos Aires International Book Fair has already started, which is an event I look forward to every year. Here you can get books on sale, with discounts, raffles and much more entertainment, such as talks, international authors, meetings with other creators of content dedicated to the world of books. It is also a cultural event that moves many people. It lasts from April 27 to May 15. So it's 3 weeks of books. For the moment I went only once on Sunday, May 7 and I plan to go back this Friday, May 12, when there is a bookfluencer meeting.

Por lo pronto les quiero hablar de mis primeras impresiones sobre este año en la feria. Creo que es para destacar que si bien había gente, no note tanta como otros años. Es una realidad angustiante el hecho de que los precios de los libros están cada vez más caros y las ofertas y descuentos ayudan poco en ciertos casos. Hasta ahora compré 2 libros con un 10% de descuento, lo que me ayudó bastante a decidirme, aunque también lo hizo saber que si no los compraba ahora el mes que viene seguro que aumentarán de nuevo. Así que mi nuevo lema es que si puedo comprarlo en el momento lo hago porque mañana va a valer el doble y me voy a arrepentir de no hacerlo.

For now I want to talk about my first impressions of this year's fair. I think it is worth mentioning that although there were people there, I did not notice as many as in other years. It is a distressing reality that the prices of books are getting more and more expensive and the offers and discounts do not help much in some cases. So far I bought 2 books with a 10% discount, which helped me a lot to make up my mind, although it also made me know that if I didn't buy them now next month they will increase again for sure. So my new motto is that if I can buy it at the moment I do because tomorrow it will be worth twice as much and I will regret not doing so.

De todos modos, también es un lugar ideal para pasear y pasar un rato agradable. Fui con mi amiga y la pasamos muy bien, recorrimos los puestos de las editoriales y librerías, nos sacamos fotos en los que tenían una propuesta muy estética y también le sacamos fotos a todo lo que nos llamara la atención en cuanto a decoración y libros de nuestro interés.

Anyway, it is also an ideal place to walk around and have a nice time. I went with my friend and we had a great time, we toured the stands of publishers and bookstores, we took pictures in those that had a very aesthetic proposal and we also took pictures of everything that caught our attention in terms of decoration and books of our interest.

Ame el puesto de Ediciones Urano, hizo toda una apuesta con una escenografía a lo Bridgerton que vino muy bien junto con el estreno de la serie de La Reina Charlotte en Netflix. Me saque una foto en el banquito ese que era ideal para hacerlo. Aunque había unas escaleras al lado que también estaban muy lindas para sacarse fotos pero no llegué a hacerlo por la cantidad de gente. Así que la próxima vez que vaya planeo sacarme la foto allí.

I loved the Ediciones Urano booth, they made quite a bet with a Bridgerton-like scenography that came very well along with the premiere of the Queen Charlotte series on Netflix. I took a picture of myself on the little bench that was ideal to do so. Although there were some stairs next to it that were also very nice to take pictures but I didn't get to do it because of the amount of people. So next time I go I plan to take a picture there.

El puesto de V&R Editoras tenía una máquina especial para sacarse fotos y una AI la transformaba en una ilustración al estilo Heartstopper para hacer de cuenta que somos personajes de la historieta también. Nuestra foto es muy graciosa, había cuatro plantillas diferentes y las usamos todas porque era gratis y un lindo recuerdo para tener. Me da ternura y risa como quedó jajaja.

The V&R Editoras booth had a special machine to take pictures and an AI transformed it into a Heartstopper style illustration to pretend we were comic book characters too. Our photo is very funny, there were four different templates and we used them all because it was free and a nice souvenir to have. It gives me tenderness and laughter how it turned out hahaha.

Estuvimos caminando 3 horas sin parar recorriendo todo el lugar y nunca llegamos a terminarlo. Después fuimos a sentarnos una media hora y a pensar que libros nos íbamos a comprar de todos los que vimos porque es lo que hacemos primero: vemos el panorama y después decidimos. Y estas dos fueron las decisiones de ese día.

We were walking for 3 hours non-stop going all over the place and we never got to finish it. Then we went to sit down for half an hour and think about which books we were going to buy out of all the ones we saw because that's what we do first: we see the panorama and then we decide. And these two were the decisions we made that day.

La emperatriz de los huesos es el segundo libro de una trilogía. Compré el primero en la feria del libro del año pasado y publicaron el segundo justo para esta, si bien estaba bastante caro lo compre porque estoy cansada de no completar mis sagas y trilogías. Así que las que empiezo me gustaría terminarlas, además la historia me gustó mucho.

The Empress of Bones is the second book of a trilogy. I bought the first one at last year's book fair and they published the second one just for this one, although it was quite expensive I bought it because I'm tired of not completing my sagas and trilogies. So the ones I start I would like to finish them, plus I really liked the story.

El segundo fue una compra sorpresa, de esos libros que ves la portada, lees la sinopsis y te convencen de que debes leerlo. Es una historia de fantasía que va a tener como protagonistas a las cartas del tarot. Me gusta el tarot y nunca leí una historia que las tuviera en cuenta. Estoy muy emocionada por leerlo y saber si está bueno o no. Además es de un nuevo sello editorial que quería leer para saber qué tal es la edición y demás. Ya les iré contando cuando lo lea.

The second one was a surprise purchase, one of those books that you see the cover, read the synopsis and you are convinced that you must read it. It is a fantasy story that is going to have tarot cards as the main characters. I love tarot and I've never read a story that featured them. I am very excited to read it and find out if it is any good or not. Besides, it is from a new publishing house that I wanted to read to know how the edition is and so on. I'll let you know when I read it.

Al final volvimos cansadas de tanto caminar, pero la pasamos muy bien y eso es lo importante. Bueno aquí lo dejo para no estirar tanto. Si hago alguna otra compra en estos días y saco más fotos se las estaré compartiendo.

In the end we came back tired from so much walking, but we had a great time and that's what's important. Well, I'll leave it here for not stretching so much. If I do any other shopping these days and take more pictures I'll be sharing them with you.
