Hoy hice un borrador para poder elaborar este diseño y no cometiera tantos errores, al menos tener el boceto la idea plasmada. luego fui organizando y trasladando a mi libreta.
La pintura que sale de los bordes es intencional, quería un aspecto algo rústico - infantil. Me inspiré en mi hijo menor Adrián, como iré en orden alfabético (no siempre) comencé por la letra "A".
Recreé mis flores de huevo que hacía en mis dibujos digitales, de hecho esto me ayudó mucho.
Sé que en la práctica la creatividad estará mucho mejor así como cada diseño, este es mi primero para este cuaderno de lienzo blanco. Espero les guste.

Hello everyone!
Today I did a rough sketch so I could work on this design without making too many mistakes – at least having the sketch meant I could get the idea down on paper. Then I organised it and transferred it to my notebook.
The paint spilling over the edges is intentional; I wanted a slightly rustic, childlike look. I was inspired by my youngest son, Adrián, and as I’ll be going in alphabetical order (not always), I started with the letter ‘A’.
I recreated the egg flowers I used to draw in my digital artwork; in fact, this helped me a lot.
I know that in practice, the creativity will come across much better, as will each design; this is my first one for this blank canvas notebook. I hope you like it.

Teniendo mi boceto ahora lo reproduzco en la libreta.
La inspiración de mi hijo, flores, muchas emociones bonitas y el deseo de hacerlo y disfrutarlo.
Confieso no ser buena con los tipos de letra y caligrafía, solo veo tipos de letras en el procesador de texto y trato de seguir el estilo y aunque hacía estas cosas en mi infancia, no es lo mismo, hace muchos años, es como volver a empezar. Aprender lo aprendido, seguir estudiando y perfeccionando.
Lo bueno es que acepto mis errores, desaciertos y que a veces no quedan muy estéticos, pero igual me gusta compartirlos, porque así puedo ver cómo he ido evolucionando.

Now that I have my sketch, I’m copying it into my notebook.
Inspiration from my son, flowers, lots of lovely emotions, and the desire to do this and enjoy it.
I must admit I’m not very good at lettering and calligraphy; I only see fonts in word processors and try to copy the style. And although I used to do these things as a child, it’s not the same—it was many years ago—so it’s like starting all over again. Learning what I’ve learnt, continuing to study and perfecting my skills.
The good thing is that I accept my mistakes and missteps, and that sometimes they don’t look very neat, but I still like to share them, because that way I can see how I’ve been evolving.

Mi niña interior es feliz cuando hago estas cosas. Mi hijo está animado quiere hacer los suyos propios así que lo motivaré, en cuanto pueda compro sus propios materiales.
Luego de trasladar el boceto, de igual manera es volver a dibujarlo pero al menos ya tengo la idea plasmada de lo que haré.
Comienza el vaciado de color, me preocupan estos marcadores, espero que sean duraderos, pues la opalina tiende a tragar mucha tinta.

My inner child is happy when I do these things. My son is keen to make his own, so I’ll encourage him; as soon as I can, I’ll buy him his own materials.
After transferring the sketch, it’s essentially redrawing it, but at least I now have a clear idea of what I’m going to do.
I start filling in the colour. I’m a bit worried about these markers; I hope they’re long-lasting, as opaline tends to soak up a lot of ink.

Hay otro tipo de marcadores que me encantaría adquirir, son los acuarela, ya lo había intentado con acuarelas de verdad una vez y no me salió como esperaba, sin embargo he visto que los marcadores de acuarelas son más fácil de usar por la punta y precisión.
Al diseño continuo llenando de color, hubiera querido las flores se entrelazaran de otra manera, en el próximo diseño lo estudiaré mejor.
Los marcadores color negro que tengo, tienen la punta muy gruesa para este diseño, tendré que adquirir algunos, mientras tanto usé un bolígrafo de gel para remarcar los bordes.

There’s another type of marker I’d love to get my hands on: watercolour markers. I’d tried using proper watercolours once before, but it didn’t turn out as I’d hoped; however, I’ve noticed that watercolour markers are easier to use thanks to their tip and precision.
As I continued to colour in the design, I wish the flowers had intertwined differently; I’ll give it more thought for the next design.
The black markers I have have a tip that’s too thick for this design; I’ll have to buy some new ones. In the meantime, I used a gel pen to outline the edges.

Hay ocasiones en las que grabo mi proceso y eso me estresa porque me desconcentro mucho al estar pendiente si la cámara graba o no, si se ve bien o no, luego la edición, como son tantas horas, es un trabajo enorme, agobia un poco. Sin embargo, hoy no fue así todo fluyó de una manera muy bonita, relajada y hasta la edición no fue nada pesada, lo que si es que tuve que cubrir mi cara con el círculo rosa porque salía de vez en cuando, no era la idea.
Al terminarlo, lógicamente lo mostré a mi hijo y le super encantó. Espero que a ustedes también.

There are times when I film my process, and that stresses me out because I lose my concentration completely, constantly worrying about whether the camera is recording or not, or whether it looks good or not. Then there’s the editing – as it takes so many hours, it’s a massive job and it’s a bit overwhelming. However, today wasn’t like that at all – everything flowed beautifully, in a relaxed way, and even the editing wasn’t a bit of a slog. The only thing was that I had to cover my face with the pink circle because it kept popping up now and then; that wasn’t the idea.
When I finished it, naturally I showed it to my son and he absolutely loved it. I hope you do too.
