¡Saludos amados, buena vibra!
Estoy un poco exhausta, adolorida de mis pies pero feliz porque fue un día bonito y productivo de descubrimiento y cosas buenas, pues el día de ayer, estuve sin servicio eléctrico y no pude producir mucho, se agradecen los momentos en el que podemos recuperarnos un poco y fortalecer nuestro estado de ánimo.
Caminar es siempre una felicidad para mí, agradezco poder hacerlo y siempre lo digo, el sedentarismo no es saludable, paso muchas horas al día sentada frente a la computadora trabajando (a Dios gracias) he contado las horas y he podido llegar a 18 pues lo único que me levanta de la silla son las necesidades fisiológicas o tener que hacer comida, limpiar, lo cotidiano. Hoy encontré a un amigo por el camino y me preguntaba hace mucho tiempo que no me veía, no tengo vida social mientras estemos en esta situación hay que trabajar duro.
Pero nos enfocamos en lo positivo, vi a un amigo, compartí mientras caminábamos cada quién a lo que iba, busqué precios de cosas que necesito para poder proyectarme más adelante y compré unos repuestos para unos electrodomésticos que al llegar a casa los cambié y funcionan perfectamente, luego, a la rutina a trabajar con mucho ánimo y buena vibra.
Hablando de buena vibra, te iré contando mi trayecto y las fotos curiosas que tomé, ya sabes que tengo unas pasiones medio extrañas con puertas e hidrantes, cosas poco comunes que encontré mientras camino por la ciudad de Maracay estado Aragua - Por ahora...

Greetings, my dears, good vibes!
I’m a bit exhausted, my feet are aching, but I’m happy because it was a lovely, productive day full of discoveries and good things. Yesterday, I was without electricity and couldn’t get much done, so I’m grateful for moments when we can recharge a little and lift our spirits.
Walking is always a joy for me; I’m grateful to be able to do it and I always say it: a sedentary lifestyle isn’t healthy. I spend many hours a day sitting in front of the computer working (thank God); I’ve counted the hours and it’s reached 18, as the only things that get me out of my chair are the call of nature or having to cook, clean, and do the daily chores. Today I bumped into a friend along the way and he asked me why he hadn’t seen me for so long; I don’t have a social life – whilst we’re in this situation, we have to work hard.
But let’s focus on the positive: I saw a friend, we chatted as we walked—each of us on our own way—I looked up prices for things I need to plan for the future, and I bought some spare parts for some appliances which, once I got home, I fitted and they work perfectly. Then, back to the routine: off to work with plenty of enthusiasm and good vibes.
Speaking of good vibes, I’ll tell you about my journey and the interesting photos I took. You know I have a bit of a strange fascination with doors and fire hydrants – unusual things I came across whilst walking through the city of Maracay in Aragua state. For now...

Iglesia Nuestra señora del Carmen.
En el letrero de la puerta tiene una descripción: Iglesia Nuestra señora del Carmen, fundada el 12 de mayo de 1937. Pero realmente es muy pequeña para ser iglesia, en los alrededores y la web se dice más bien que es una capilla.
Este hallazgo fue tan especial y lindo para mí, he pasado centenares de veces caminando de un lado de la autopista y del otro lado del centro y sencillamente jamás la había visto y jamás me deleité viendo semejantes puertas, color, fachada colonial y la energía tan bonita que desprende y se siente al rededor. No sé cómo no la había visto antes, si su estructura o construcción imponente resalta entre todas las casas al rededor, esto nos dice lo distraídos que podemos estar de la vida y lo ocupados o metidos en nuestro propio mundo cuando caminamos... Ajenos a todo, viendo todo, pendiente de todo pero a la vez viendo nada, porque no lo disfrutamos. Para que tengas una idea de lo cerca que está y a la vista que se encuentra en el casco central del la ciudad de Maracay estado Aragua y localizada dentro del barrio El Carmen.
Puedo decir que entre ese cielo azul tan hermoso, el sol cálido y la brisa fresca, se respira paz.

Our Lady of Carmen Church.
The sign on the door reads: Our Lady of Carmen Church, founded on 12 May 1937. But it’s actually far too small to be a church; both the local area and the website refer to it more as a chapel.
This discovery was so special and lovely for me; I’ve walked past it hundreds of times, from one side of the motorway to the other and through the town centre, and I simply had never seen it before. I’d never taken the time to admire such doors, the colour, the colonial façade, and the beautiful energy it radiates and that you can feel all around it. I don’t know how I hadn’t seen it before, given that its imposing structure and architecture stand out amongst all the surrounding houses; this shows just how distracted we can be from life and how busy or lost in our own world we are when we walk... Oblivious to everything, seeing everything, aware of everything, yet at the same time seeing nothing, because we don’t enjoy it. Just to give you an idea of how close it is and how visible it is, it’s in the centre of the city of Maracay, Aragua State, and located within the El Carmen neighbourhood.
I can say that amidst that beautiful blue sky, the warm sun and the cool breeze, you can breathe in peace.

Otro hallazgo fueron dos conexiones para bomberos, suena raro decir esto, prefiero llamarles "hidrantes" aunque de forma más común se les conoce los que van pegados en el suelo, estos más bien están en una pared...
El primero es un mas curioso, está dentro de una tienda, que de paso está en remodelación, ¡Es tan horrible el pobre! Tan torcido e incómodo... ¡Jajaja!
El segundo, se encuentra en la Santos Michelena, una zona de mucha fluencia de personas que lo ignoran o que solo lo ven como para darle con cualquier cosa y propinar su deterioro.
¡Son las conexiones más raras y descuidadas que he visto! ¿Funcionan? Como dije antes... lo dudo, pues los bomberos siempre llegan a las zonas donde se necesitan con su propia cisterna, jamás los he visto conectarse a una toma de estas, pues no deben tener agua, normalmente escasea el vital líquido en toda Aragua, es racionada.
Yo veo estas cosas ¡Son tan raras, tan únicas! Me alegran tanto la vida, creo que lo mejor de todo es que lo comparto, que puedo compartirlo aquí, para mí son grandes hazañas dentro de todas las limitaciones que yo pueda tener y lo hago gustosa, feliz y agradecida.

Another discovery was two fire hydrants – it sounds odd to say that; I prefer to call them ‘hydrants’, although the ones usually attached to the ground are more commonly known as such, whereas these are actually on a wall...
The first one is the more curious of the two; it’s inside a shop, which, incidentally, is being refurbished. It looks absolutely dreadful! So crooked and awkward... Hahaha!
The second one is on Santos Michelena, a busy area full of people who either ignore it or just see it as something to knock into with whatever they’re carrying, causing it to fall into disrepair.
They’re the strangest and most neglected connections I’ve ever seen! Do they work? As I said before... I doubt it, as the fire brigade always arrive at the areas where they’re needed with their own tanker; I’ve never seen them connect to a hydrant like this, as they probably don’t have any water – water is usually in short supply throughout Aragua; it’s rationed.
I see these things – they’re so strange, so unique! They bring so much joy to my life; I think the best thing of all is that I can share this, that I can share it here. For me, these are great achievements within all the limitations I may have, and I do so gladly, happily and gratefully.
