The point of #BuyTheDip is not buying every single dip. The point is to buy THE dip that you think will bring you the most or safest gains.

You don't have unlimited resources. #NotFinancialAdvice

@enforcer48, may I add that #ByTheDip is good strategy for buying cryptocurrencies of high quality. I will not buy the dip of any crypto.

I agree with that for the most part.

I expect flat market in 2022. BTC/USD in the range of 24/25K up to 69/70K. Theoretically, a range between the min and max value of 2021. But, ... let's wait and see what FED will bring to the table next week at FOMC meeting. The range I mentioned is if FED is more hawkish about the QE tapering. For me this is still my negative scenario for the cryptocurrency market in 2022.

I wouldn't trust anything the Fed says. They are experts of misdirection.

For the longest time, I thought they were talking about dips for chips.

I could use some of that dip for this dip because this dip tastes like... (~looks around the room~) shit.

Dollar-cost averaging with recurring buys that increase when the price gets lower is nice. If you have the funds for it of course...

It's probably the safest option. Small recurring buys that minimize "waste".

Set some funds for "the dip" you really want to jump in.

With "waste" do you mean fees?

Saving for the "big dip" is a good idea indeed! I'm just not good at calling it :P

Waste as in frequent, small, recurring DCAs through a downtrend.

I'd much rather wait a bit and see if we get -20%+ drop over 7 days like right now before using the funds set aside to buy the dip.

Some people can't wait for it to bottom out and so just decide to buy and to heck with it. 😅 I only wish I have funds to buy though. 😆

We each need to buy the dip that we can afford, and we can't use milk/rent money to buy that dip. !hivebits

Yeah, it's kinda scary to know there are people pulling second mortgages out of their houses for this type of stuff.

There's no need 4 that. There R all kinds of crypto 4 all kinds of people. For the people who considered taking out 2nd mortgages, they would be suitable buyers for Shiba Inu (given where it ranks in market cap). That buy is just a night at the movies with family. !hivebits

That is why I like using the Dollar Cost Average style of investing. When the price does dip I try to see if I can buy a little more. Most of the Hive I have has been earned, which is the best thing.
