Thanks be to God, happy weekend to everyone. I bless the name of God for a unique opportunity like this to learn again from his servant. Here are part of the things I was able to learn from the meeting

Lessons

In families, the husbands should render what is due unto his wife, he should perform his duty as the man. So also the woman should aslo perform her duties. Both the man and the woman should not deny their bodies from each other. This is because they are one and that will reduce the temptations of immorality. The only condition that the two can stay from each other is when they want to engage in spiritual exercises like prayer and prayer and that has to be done with mutual consent.( 1 corinthians 7:3-5)

The fasting God recommends is that type that looses the bonds of wickedness, we ourselves, when fasting should learn to forgive others who wrong us or are owing us and we must deceased from every form of wickedness as well. We should also be good, helping those who are in need. And this ought not be only when we are fasting but it should be our life style. When we do all these things, God will be there for us when we call upon him. Fasting and prayer is a special way of asking from God and it works very well (Isaiah 58:6)

Fasting doesn't only help spiritually but physically as well. it boost our immune system and helps our body fights diseases, scientist say fasting flips a regenerative flip.

Fasting is not what should done to show off,. The fasting taught by our lord is the type that is known only by us and our maker. It must not be something we broadcast for men to see and give us applause or consider us as spiritual. It is very important that we fast with the right motive and according to the word of God so that we don't end up dissipating a lot of energy in vain. ( Mathew 6:16)

It is wrong for a woman to be displaying her body, it belongs to her husband. Even if you are not yet married you don't need to display your body, for that act can lead someone to commit adultery or fornication. the sin of sexual immorality is prevalent because of how we dress indecently these days. The bible says looking on a woman lustfully is same as committing adultery already. So we need to dress well whether we are married or not. ( Hebrews 13:4, Mathew 5:28, 2 peter 2:14)

Man should learn to give honor unto his wife, he should consider her and let her have respect as well, the man should not disregard her. The man ought to be knowledgeable and wise enough both in the word of God. The woman is a weaker vessel, she is not as strong as the man. he should rather love her and treat her well and the woman must not forget her place and submit to her husband, respecting him as expected too. No matter the level of education a woman attains, she should learn to be subject to her husband because he is the head of the family as Christ is the head of the church ( 1peter 3:7, Ephesians 5:23)

A Christian husband must learn to provide for his family, this is to help keep the family intact, if the man doesn't provide for his family he could expose his family to danger . Any man who doesn't provide to his family is worst than an unbeliver ( 1 Timothy 5:8)

If a husband and wife are both believers their children will also be sanctified through their lives but if the parents are not God fearing and holy, their children will be corrupt children as well, except God intervenes. An example can be seen in the life of John the Baptist who was a child of believing parents. John grew up to be God fearing and served God all the days of his life ( 1 corinthians 7:14, Luke 1:5)
