‎[MOVIE] The Test: Who Will Stay When the Money Is Gone?

‎This movie is about a young rich man who decides to test the people around him to find out if they are with him because of his riches or because they truly love him.
‎
‎The man was living happily with his girlfriend. They normally stayed together, played together and enjoyed each other's company. He loved his girlfriend with all his heart, and she always showed him that she loved him too. He was also living in the same house with his sister, driver and house help.
‎
‎One day, his sister came back from school to visit him. She normally visited her brother during weekends or holidays. When she arrived, she saw her brother and his girlfriend together and very happy. Suddenly, the girlfriend started shouting that the sister was not supposed to visit the house until her boyfriend agreed. The sister told her that he was her brother and she could visit him whenever she wanted. The girlfriend insisted, and they started quarreling. They refused to leave the matter peacefully, and everyone in the house started taking sides.

‎The rich man became tired of their constant fighting. He tried to settle the matter, but nobody wanted to listen. His sister kept saying that he was her brother, while his girlfriend kept saying that he was her boyfriend. The rich man became so exhausted that he didn't know what else to do. He decided to talk to his friend about everything happening in his house.

‎His friend then gave him an idea. He told him to pretend that he had lost all his riches. He should pretend that he had been robbed, lost his job, and lost all the money in his bank account. The plan was to see who would stay with him when he no longer had money. The rich man believed that both his girlfriend and sister loved him, but his friend didn't believe it. They decided to bet and started the test.

‎When the rich man got home, he sat down and thought carefully about the plan. He called his girlfriend, sister, driver and house help together and explained that he had lost his job and everything he had. He told them that all the money in his account was gone and that he was now jobless. He pretended that he didn't even have any little money with him.

‎He told them that this was the time he needed their love and support more than ever. This was how everyone believed that he had become a poor man, and the test began.

‎The next day, his sister bought some food and left it in the kitchen while she went out to run an errand. The rich man came into the kitchen and saw the food. Because there was nothing else to eat and he was very hungry, he picked it up and started eating.

‎His sister came back and saw him eating her food. She became angry and started shouting at him, asking why he would take the only food she had. She kept complaining that even though there was no food in the house, he still had the courage to take her food. After some days, she packed her bags and told him she was going back to school.

‎He reminded her that they were still on holiday and that she was supposed to stay for about three months or even longer. But because he was now broke and had nothing, she decided to leave. He pleaded with her to stay, but she refused and left the house.

‎After some time, his girlfriend also started behaving strangely toward him. She would shout at him over small things and started coming back home very late when everyone had already gone to sleep. She was no longer treating him the same way because she didn't want to stay with a broke man.

‎He kept pleading with her, but they continued to quarrel. After a few days, she packed her things and decided to leave too. He begged her not to go, but she told him that he was broke and that she could not stay with a broke man. That was how she left him.

‎The man was really shocked. He started thinking about everything that had happened. He realized that his friend had been telling him the truth. His girlfriend had been acting as if she loved him, but maybe it was only because of his riches. Even his own blood sister had left him when he became broke.

‎He felt very disappointed, hurt and betrayed because he never expected that the people closest to him would leave him when he had nothing.
‎
‎
‎But the surprising thing was that the house help and the driver did not leave him. They kept thinking about how he would feel if they also left him. They were saying that their problem was that if they left, how would their boss feel?
‎
‎Even though they came from poor backgrounds and did not have enough money to take care of themselves, they still stayed with their boss. He couldn't even afford to pay their salaries at that time, but they didn't leave. They stayed because they cared about him and didn't want him to feel alone.

‎The next day, the rich man called his office and told them to bring all his properties and cars back home because everyone had betrayed him. Later, the two house help came into his room. They still thought he was broke and had no money, not knowing that everything had been a plan.

‎He finally revealed the truth to them and told them that everything was just a test to see who would stay with him when he had nothing. The two of them were very surprised.

‎The man told them that even his own blood had failed him, and he felt bad about it. But the two house help had shown him that they truly cared about him, and he was very proud of them.

‎He told them to check their phones because he had just sent them ₦1 million each. They were so shocked that they thought they were dreaming. They even begged him to repeat what he had just said. When he repeated it, they became extremely happy and didn't even know how to express their excitement.

‎This movie is really amazing, and it teaches me a lesson about knowing the people who truly care about you. Sometimes, the people we expect to stay with us may be the first to leave, while the people we don't expect may be the ones who stand by us.
