Hello everyone, welcome to Hive Music Festival Week 205 Round 1. I’m @emmanuel50, and for this week I’ll be singing a song titled “New Generation” by Minister Ebuka Song.
This is a song I have loved for a very long time. There is something about this song that always moves me whenever I hear it. Anytime I sing it, I feel blessed and encouraged. I really love the energy in the song, and I also love the way Minister Ebuka Songs sings. His style is something I enjoy very much, and he has become one of my favourite gospel artists.
There is also a personal story I have with this song. I have never met Minister Ebuka Songs face to face because he is far from where I live. But last year, in October, I heard that there was going to be a program and Minister Ebuka Songs was going to be the guest artist. When I saw the flyer, I was very happy because I had really wanted to see him in person.
I decided to attend the program, and honestly, it was an amazing experience for me. When he came out, he sang many powerful songs. Then the first song he started with was “New Generation.” Immediately he started singing the song, I was so amazed. I was there watching the same person whose songs I had been listening to for a long time. Seeing him face to face and hearing him sing this particular song live was something I will not forget.
The message of this song is also very important to me. It talks about a new generation that loves Jesus. It is not only talking about young people looking good or being popular. It is talking about boys, girls and people who truly love Jesus and want to live for Him.
One part that really speaks to me is when the song says, “I am one of them.” I see myself in that part because I also want to be among the people God is raising. I want my life to show that I love Jesus.
The song also talks about revival and people who will keep going until they see Jesus taking over. This has taught me that Christianity is not only about singing songs. We should also allow what we sing to affect the way we live.
I chose this song because I love it, but also because its message is something I want to carry in my own life. This song has blessed me many times, and I’m happy to share my own cover here on Hive.
