It's another wonderful day of teachings in the mass Indoctrination service of today.

Today we talked about Prayers and it's content.

I learnt that our prayers are heard by God if we make them out of pure heart.
Brother Eli stated that if our heart is evil, even if we pray day and night, God will not listen.
God listens to a pure heart man prayers. He said that the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination unto God but the prayer of the righteous is his delight.
A prayer has specific contents according to the bible. Prayer is making a request to God. Philippians 4:6, let your request be made known unto God.

I learnt that when we pray, we should be specific, precise, brief and not repetitive.
Bro Eli told us a story of Judas. When he (Judas) betrayed Christ and took his own life, the apostles needed his replacement so the prayed Acts 1:25. The prayed for Judas replacement so as to complete the 12 tribes of Judah. In this prayer, they asked for only what they needed and Matthias was the answer to their prayer.

I learnt that prayer is needed in everything. Before we eat, every creature of God is good, so we should pray and give thanks to God.
1 Timothy 4:5
God is always ready to hear prayers.

When to pray to God

That communication with God is needed at all times. We should pray in both difficulty and comfort times. God wants prayer without season, he wants us to pray day and night, 1 theselonian 5:17.

Conditions given to us by God for our prayers to be answered.
God wants us to repent of our sins, live a holy life, that's when he will answers to our prayers. In todays teaching's it's telling us to take away the evil in our hearts before we pray.

How we can cleaners our hearts.
The word of God cleanse our hearts psalm 119:11, and we are purified by obeying God's commands.1 Peter 1:22.

Bro Eli said that for our hearts to be purified, we need to depart from sin and take away the work of the flesh, such as fornication, adultery, lasciviousness, witchcraft, hatred, Jealousy, and envy. He noted that these are the limiting factors to our prayers.

Matthew 12:33,34, the fruit is the product of the tree he said, evil cannot speak good, for our mouths speaks out of the abundant of our hearts.
Brother Eli said that he that love life and seek good days should refrain his tongue from evil, seek peace, for the eyes of God is over the righteous and his ears open to them.

I learnt we should learn to use our tongue wisely, for it is the same tongue we will use in prayers. This means the tongue is very powerful.
let's remember that we shall give account of any vain word we speaks on the last day. Becareful how to use the tongue.
