Mi sobrina de compañerita [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos, cómo están? Feliz noche para todos, espero que de verdad estén muy pero muy bien; por aquí todo muy bien, gracias a Dios, espero que por su parte también y, de no ser así, pues que mejore.

El día de hoy quería compartir con ustedes como la pase hoy que la verdad fue un día bastante bueno para mi y me hizo pensar muchas cosas, saben que mi sobrino iba a ser operado hoy pero por razones siempre aquí en cosas de salud publica no se pudo, en fin la cuestión es que mi sobrina iba a quedar sola asi que decidi hablar con mis jefes para ver si podía faltar el día de hoy por las verdaderas razones y bueno terminaron dandome permiso para llevarmela conmigo debido a que soy la unica asistente activa y bueno que les puedo decir, la cuestión es que alli estabamos.

Today I wanted to share with you how my day went, as it was actually quite a good day for me and it got me thinking about a lot of things. You know my nephew was due to have an operation today, but for reasons to do with public health here, it couldn’t go ahead. Anyway, the point is that my niece was going to be left on her own, so I decided to speak to my bosses to see if I could take the day off for genuine reasons, and well, they ended up giving me permission to take her with me because I’m the only active carer, and well, what can I say? The point is, there we were.

No estaba preocupada porque yo conozco a mi sobrina y sé que ella, a pesar de ser una niña, apenas tiene un muy buen comportamiento. Nos levantamos supertemprano para estar listas temprano, y la verdad es que sí llegamos temprano, tanto que no había llegado nadie y nos sentamos a desayunar ambas un rico pansito con café y juguito mientras llegaban mis compañeros.

Ella se fue preparada para hacer sus dibujos y yo también aproveché de sacarle impresos varios, así que ella aprovechó de pintar todo lo que pudo, dibujos como la princesita Sofía y Lilo, además de que también hizo sus propios dibujos. Sacó todos los resaltadores del escritorio para pintar y así mismo jugó un rato con el tlf.

I wasn’t worried because I know my niece well and I know that, even though she’s just a little girl, she’s actually very well-behaved. We got up really early to be ready in good time, and to be honest, we did arrive early – so early, in fact, that no one else had arrived yet. So we sat down to have a lovely breakfast of bread, coffee and juice while we waited for my colleagues to arrive.

She went along ready to do her drawings, and I also took the opportunity to print out a few things for her, so she made the most of it and coloured in everything she could, including pictures of Princess Sofia and Lilo, as well as drawing her own pictures. She took all the highlighters off the desk to colour with and also played on her phone for a while.

Yo me río porque en el trabajo hay una gatica que llegó allí y nosotros prácticamente la adoptamos porque allá vive y come. La cuestión es que ella y mi jefa crearon una conexión, tanto así que cuando la jefa llega, parece conversar con ella. Y nosotros le pusimos Karinita porque la jefa se llama Karina y ella es muy pegada con ella, además de que está embarazada actualmente.

La cuestión es que mi sobrina vio la gata y como le gustan tanto los animales andaba abrazandola y cargandola y le tuve que decir que la bajara porque le podía lastimar su panza, esa recorrio el lugar mas emocionada que yo. A todo esto me puse a pensar que si uno trabaja solo pero a veces que relajante podría ser ir a trabajar con tus hijos y no extrañarlos ni preocuparte porque esten en malas manos pero bueno ya eso son otras cosas ¡Saludos!

I find it funny because there’s a little cat at work who turned up there and we’ve practically adopted her because she lives and eats there. The thing is, she and my boss have formed a bond – so much so that when my boss arrives, it looks as though she’s having a chat with her. And we’ve called her Karinita because my boss’s name is Karina and she’s really close to her, plus she’s currently pregnant.

The thing is, my niece saw the cat and, as she loves animals so much, she was hugging and cuddling her, and I had to tell her to put her down because she might hurt her tummy; she was more excited than I was. All this got me thinking that if you work on your own, how relaxing it might be to go to work with your children and not miss them or worry that they’re in the wrong hands, but well, that’s another matter.
