Gorrito de Satín, muy fáciles de hacer [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal, cómo están todos? Linda noche, por aquí no tan bien; ando un poco enferma. Por esas razones desaparecí ayer, pero aquí estamos de nuevo.

Saben que yo siempre quise un gorrito de satín porque es especial para dormir y, en mi caso, que siempre me plancho el cabello, sirve para mantener mi planchado más tiempo por las noches.

Hi there, how are you all? It’s a lovely evening, though things aren’t going so well over here; I’m feeling a bit under the weather. That’s why I went off the grid yesterday, but here we are again.

You know I’ve always wanted a satin bonnet because it’s perfect for sleeping in and, as I always straighten my hair, it helps keep it straight for longer overnight.

Para esto necesité 60 cm de tela de satín, aunque si les soy sincera, se puede también con 50 cm, pero yo, como estaba principiante, pedí 60 cm para probar. Iniciamos haciendo tres dobles de tela, uno por la mitad, luego otro doblez que va a quedar tipo rectángulo y uno más pequeño para que quede cuadrado.

For this, I needed 60 cm of satin fabric, although to be honest, 50 cm would have been enough; but as I was a beginner, I ordered 60 cm to give it a go. We started by folding the fabric three times: once in half, then another fold to create a rectangle, and a smaller fold to make a square.

Esta es la parte que yo consideré más difícil porque estaba insegura de si me saldrían los dos círculos iguales e inicié desde la punta que tenemos más doblada a marcar 28 cm tipo compás; pueden hacerlo más grande que eso si desean. Una vez que lo hice, marqué el círculo y cortamos.

This is the part I found most difficult because I wasn’t sure if I could make the two circles the same size, so I started from the most folded corner and marked out 28 cm using a compass; you can make it bigger than that if you like. Once I’d done that, I marked out the circle and we cut it out.

Aqui me super emocione porque mis ciculos me quedaron perfectos ambos y estaba que lloraba de alegria, asi soy cuando amo lo que hago, luego lo fije con alfileres porque esta tela se resbala muchisimo y lo hice al contrario y procedi a unir, siempre dejando una apertura para darle la vuelta a la tela.

I got really excited here because both my circles turned out perfectly, and I was almost in tears of joy – that’s how I am when I love what I’m doing. Then I pinned it in place because this fabric is incredibly slippery, and I did it the other way round before sewing it together, always leaving an opening so I could turn the fabric inside out.

Una vez que tenía el gorro volteado vamos hacer una segunda costura dependiendo del grosor del elastico en mi caso era un elastico super fino y de un largo de 45cm lo calcule midiendo mi propia cabeza y procedemos a introducir por el hueco que dejamos en la primera costura en mi caso lo hice con un gancho de cabello.

Once the hat was turned inside out, we’ll make a second seam, depending on the thickness of the elastic. In my case, I used a very thin elastic measuring 45 cm in length; I calculated this by measuring my own head, and then threaded it through the opening left in the first seam. I used a hairpin to do this.

Una vez que tengo ambas puntas selladas, tambien aprovecho de cerrar la avertura principal y acomodar como tal el gorrito y asi de lindo me quedo, yo lo amé, muy fácil de hacer y ayuda a cuidar tu cabello del frizz ¡Saludos!

Once I’ve sealed both ends, I also take the opportunity to close the main opening and adjust the haircap accordingly – and it looks just lovely! I absolutely loved it; it’s very easy to make and helps protect your hair from frizz. Best wishes!
