Aniversario de danza con mi sobrina [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal, gente? ¿Cómo están? Por aquí todo fino, gracias a Dios, aunque la verdad me siento un poco cansada debido a que la semana ha sido bastante larga. Por suerte, mañana ya estoy libre, pero sé que será hoy día para hacer mis labores del hogar para poder así descansar sábado y domingo tranquila.

Hi, how’s it going, everyone? How are you all? Everything’s fine over here, thank goodness, although to be honest I’m feeling a bit tired as it’s been quite a long week. Luckily, I’m off tomorrow, but I know I’ll have to do my housework today so I can have a quiet rest on Saturday and Sunday.

Hoy paso por aquí para mostrarles mi vida de niño con mis sobrinos y un día bastante especial en la danza de mi sobrina, porque era el día de aniversario y siempre ese día suele ser especial para ellos. Y aunque este año, por todas las cuestiones que están pasando en el país, no tuvieron un baile como tal, Ni tampoco música en este encuentro la pasaron súper bien y fueron entregados como de costumbre sus reconocimientos, algunos por trayectoria, como en el caso de mi sobrina por el tiempo que tiene la danza, a otros se los entregan por elegir la danza y a otros que ya cumplen el tiempo en las categorías correspondientes y les toca ascender hacia otras categorías como fue en el caso de mi sobrina el año pasado.

I’m popping in today to show you what my life is like with my nephews and nieces, and to share a rather special day at my niece’s dance recital, because it was the anniversary of the school’s founding, and that day is always a special one for them. And although this year, because of everything that’s going on in the country, they didn’t have a proper dance recital, nor was there any music at this gathering, they still had a brilliant time and, as usual, the awards were presented: some for long service – as in my niece’s case, for the length of time she’s been dancing – others for choosing to take up dance, and others to those who have completed the required time in their respective categories and are due to move up to the next level, as was the case with my niece last year.

Aproveché la oportunidad también de llevar a mi sobrino para que pasara un rato agradable bañándose en la piscina y me dio muchísima risa porque, en el momento de entregar los reconocimientos, la brisa estaba muy fuerte y a una de las madres le tocó sostener el pendón de la danza para tomar las fotos. Y para mí era muy chistoso ver cómo solo salían las manitos de ella, pero ella no salía y todo el tiempo que estuvo allí parada para las fotos. Ella siempre ha sido una mamá muy colaboradora; es la mamá de nuestro amigo Carlitos, el cual tiene una condición especial, pero es super inteligente ya que al ver a su mamá haciendo eso, hasta el mismo se levantó a ayudar, y eso es algo de admirar. ¡Saludos!

I also took the opportunity to take my nephew along so he could have a lovely time swimming in the pool, and it made me laugh so much because, just as the awards were being presented, the breeze was really strong and one of the mums had to hold up the dance banner so the photos could be taken. And I found it really funny to see how only her little hands were visible, but she wasn’t in the frame at all, even though she was standing there the whole time for the photos. She’s always been a very helpful mum; she’s the mum of our friend Carlitos, who has a special need, but he’s really clever – when he saw his mum doing that, he even got up to help, and that’s something to be admired.
