In my previous post I was talking about my favorite animated series from my childhood, one of them was Tom and Jerry, so I decided to paint one of my favorite scenes where Jerry is in disguise trying to confuse Tom.

This painting is made with tempera and crayons on cardboard. In some colors I thinned the tempera to give it a watercolor look.

I started by sketching with a light pencil. I really liked the result of this one, usually my sketches don't look this good.

En mi post anterior estuve hablando acerca de mis series animadas preferidas de mi infancia, una de estas fue Tom y Jerry, así que me animé a pintar una escena en donde Jerry está disfrazado intentando confundir a Tom.

Esta pintura está realizada con témperas y creyones sobre cartulina. En ciertos colores diluí las temperas para darle aspecto de acuarela.

Comencé haciendo el boceto con un lápiz claro. Me gustó mucho el resultado, por lo general mis bocetos no suelen verse tan bien

I painted the curtains with a very light blue color, here I used the technique of thinning the paint, then with several darker tones I did the details and the shadows.

For the details I used a fine brush #00 and for the larger parts a brush #4.

Pinté las cortinas con un color azul muy claro, aquí utilicé la técnica de diluir la pintura, luego con varios tonos más oscuros hice los detalles y las sombras.

Para los detalles usé un pincel fino #00 y para las partes más grandes un pincel #4.

I continued painting the walls with blue and pink. I made purple shadows on the curtains. For the floor I used a stronger pink color. To make details on the floor and walls I colored with crayons, I really liked the look of the floor when using crayons on the paint.

Continué pintando las paredes con azul y rosa. Hice sombras con color purpura en las cortinas. Para el piso utilicé un rosa más fuerte y para los detalles del piso y las paredes usé creyones, me gustó mucho el aspecto del piso al usar creyones sobre la pintura.

To paint the little mouse, I used the same technique of diluting the paint, and also with crayons I made details on the clothes. I had to be very meticulous when painting the face, whiskers, eyes and the mouse's paws, they were quite small details.

Para pintar al pequeño ratón, usé la misma técnica de diluir un poco la pintura, de igual forma con creyones le hice detalles en la ropa. Tuve que ser muy minuciosa a la hora de pintar la cara, bigotes, ojos y las patas del ratón, eran detalles bastante pequeños.

Next I painted the cat, I started with the eyes and the nose, then with pale pink on the ears. For the body I used gray crayon and thinned paint. Painting Tom was not as easy as I imagined, even though he doesn't have many details and colors.

Seguí por pintar el gato, empecé por los ojos y la nariz, luego con rosa pálido en las orejas. Para el cuerpo utilicé creyón gris y pintura diluida. Pintar a Tom no fue tan sencillo como imaginaba, a pesar de que no tiene muchos detalles y colores.

I finished making the shadows with gray and black crayon, with the fine brush #00 I made all the contour lines and the whiskers. In addition to give last details in all the painting.

Finalicé haciendo las sombras con creyón gris y negro, con el pincel fino #00 le hice todas las líneas de contorno y los bigotes. Además de dar últimos detalles en toda la pintura.
