Does STEEM Have a Future if TRon Takes it Over?

avatar

I know they say Change is inevitbale and that a Change is as good as a rest, but as the case is of STEEM right now, I am NOT PRO STEEM right now, well, at least not the kind of change this new acquisition by Tron is proposing.

Things seem to be moving a little too fast and a little all over the place if you ask me.

So much has happened on STEEM in a very short period of time lately. But the biggest change has got to be the new merge/acquisition of steemit.com by Tron aka Justinsun.

For some reason my spirit is not in terms with this change. I know we stand to gain some new users and perhaps a price hike for the STEEM token, but looking at what this means for STEEM in the long-term, I must admit it doesn't seem good.

Swapping the STEEM token to a STEEMTRON token or whatever mambo jambo Justin Sun comes up with, was the last thing any of us expected. STEEM will move from being a fully, independent functioning token to being a subtron token of Tron! One of the most shitty projects out here if I may add(well, at least to my opinion). How could we have gone so wrong as a platform? How could Ned fuck us over so bad?

The more I think about it, the more I have less confidence on the future of STEEM should this come to pass. A part of me wishes STEEM dies a natural death rather than have it succumb to this kind of nonesense. But then again, if this changes do take place, it might as well be as dead.

I can't help but wonder if STEEM really has a future if this changes do come to pass. Do you think this platform will have a future whatsoever?

CHEERS!!

Justin Sun bought Steemit which is just a small part of Steems blockchain.

It's consoling to think of it as such, but technically Steemit Inc controls pretty much whatever happens within the chain. Tron acquiring it means they may in some way have control of whichever direct this blockchain takes, unless something miraculous happens, I'd say we are pretty much fucked.

Love him or hate him Justin Sun is a blockchain genius and would rather see him owning Steemit then Ned.
Now is the chance for Steemit to finally go out of beta.
So i dont think we are fucked.

First and for all Ned didnt made much in the past 2 years. Steem didnt had any marketing to onboard new users. Plus they was keep selling they tokens.

Now lets talk about Justin. He is a investor. As a investor i dont think it makes sense to kill your investment straight after u bought it. If he put steemit on tron as far as i know there should be a fee for transactions. So i am asking who will post or make something if he have to pay for that. Even just a micro amount.
But Justin have money and team to make steemit better. He is good at marketing. What else we need?
Justin want profit so it means we steem holders should have also. So I think we dont need to overreact or worry.

Ok maybe i am mistake but these are my thoughts at the moment.

I'm not the best Steemian, but I just jumped back into Steem about a month ago, and then this happens! I believe Tron is a scam. I know that word is overused in crypto, but I believe it to be true in Tron's case. If you watch Chico Crypto's videos, he's merciless to Justin Sun and to Tron.

Honestly @elsiekay I look at the whole thing as HUGE positive. We have a guy who has a vested interest in wanting to make is HUGE investment work. Which means making Steemit work. That sounds good to me
