Visiting Toulouse

I wasn’t sure what to expect of Toulouse, no one had ever showed me pictures of Toulouse so it was pretty much a surprise. However, I loved the city! It was also a sunny day which made the whole experience better.

To start-off the day we walked through the beautiful streets. I am constantly comparing other cities to Barcelona, the city where I live, and this times I found many things around Toulouse that Barcelona does not have.

1. Streets are much cleaner.
2. Most of the trashes have small disposable bags you can use to get your dogs poo :/
3. The city center has barely any cars or motorcycles
4. Much calmer streets
5. You can’t find corner shops in every 10 meters you walk: In Barcelona there are way too many corner shops that just take up space that other local businesses could take.

Things like these in cities are extremely important for me and that is why I could perfectly live in this city if it weren’t for the cold weather it has during the winter (I absolutely hate the cold and I wouldn’t stand a city that is colder than Barcelona)

We visited many cathedrals around the city which were all beautiful.

For the rest of the day we saw local markets and emblematic places:

After walking for so many hours we looked for a place to eat some ice cream . Most of the cafes were full but others closed at 17:00 (WHAT?!) this was so weird for me since in Spain cafes don’t close until about 9pm. Anyways, we finally found place in an iced cream place. Everyone was exhausted it was perfect. Even the dog layer down to have a nap.
