First day visiting Madrid

After arriving yesterday to Madrid to visit family we woke up today to take a walk on the mountain and then to visit a monastery.

I know it seems quite weird to go to Madrid to visit the outskirts, however we considered that tomorrow would be a better day to visit the city since it’s a work day for many citizens, meaning there will be less people and therefore less risk of getting covid.

Today was quite hot for a winter day and it was just very pleasant to walk with some family members that I hadn’t seen for quite some months.

Later we went to El Monasterio de El Escorial which was absolutely beautiful.
