Aladdin in Broadway

I’ve always loved seeing the behind the scenes of a Broadway show in my computer at home. So when they told me we were going to watch a Broadway show I got veeeery excited.

We decided to watch Aladdin, I loved how the movie was kind of a musical. The dances were amazing and therefore I knew the actual musical would also be amazing.

We sat down on one of the last rows, which was ok because you could see the stage quite well. However, in front of us there was a family when small kids who were struggling to see the stage and were constantly moving and standing up. Luckily, the staff assisted us by giving us some cushions so that we could see better.

Overall, the show was stunning! The dances and the signing were ok point and the tricks they had were also quite good.

Before watching the show I was wondering what they would do for the magic carpet or for when the genie appeared from the magic lamp. For the magic lamp they had a hole in the stage with a kind of elevator which brought the genie to the stage, it was very good and it wasn’t that noticeable, my friends did not notice at first when the genie suddenly appeared. Instead, for the magic carpet I really have no idea how they hid the ropes are whatever it was that was holding the carpet.

After the show we went back to the hotel to rest, we were all exhausted.

I really recommend going to Broadway if you ever visit New York.
