The need to be as innocent as a child. (ENG/ESP)
In the same way that a child is trusting, loving, and easy to forget, so we are called to go into the arms of God to have the assurance of entering the kingdom of heaven.
In the Gospel of Matthew 18: 2-4, we find:
And when Jesus called a child, he placed it in their midst, 3 and said: Truly I say to you, that if you do not turn around and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 So whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. In Luke 18:17 Jesus expressed this same message about the spiritual importance of being innocent like a child when he said:
Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it
As we can see, the Bible translation of Matthew 18: 3 indicates that the attributes that define a child are: confident, low, loving, forgetting. Ah, how much we would enjoy our lives if we operated with those four virtues!
Children believe what they are told. There are those who say that children are naive, meaning that they believe in anything ridiculous as it sounds.
However, children are not naive, but trusting. Children are naturally trusting, unless you've experienced something that teaches them otherwise.
One thing we all know about children is that they enjoy life. A child can literally enjoy anything. You can turn a job into a game so that you enjoy doing it.
I remember when I asked my son to sweep the yard when he was about eleven years old. I looked out and saw him dance with the broom to the rhythm of the music he was listening to through his headphones.
Inside I was saying, “Awesome! It made sweeping chore fun. If I had to do it, I had to enjoy it. " We should all have that attitude. We may not choose to dance with a broom, but we should choose an attitude of rejoicing in all areas of life.

La necesidad de ser tan inocente como un niño
De la misma manera que un niño es confiado, amoroso y fácil de olvidar, así somos llamados a ir a los brazos de Dios para tener la seguridad de entrar en el reino de los cielos.
En el Evangelio de Mateo 18: 2-4, encontramos:
Y llamando Jesús a un niño, lo puso en medio de ellos, 3 y dijo: De cierto os digo, que si no os volvéis y os hacéis como niños, no entraréis en el reino de los cielos. 4 Así que, cualquiera que se humille como este niño, ése es el mayor en el reino de los cielos. Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)
En Lucas 18: 17 Jesús expresó este mismo mensaje sobre la importancia espiritual de ser inocente como un niño cuando dijo:
De cierto os digo, que el que no recibe el reino de Dios como un niño, no entrará en él
Como podemos observar, la traducción en la Biblia de Mateo 18:3 señala que los atributos que definen a un niño son: confiado, bajo, amoroso, que olvida. ¡Ah, cuánto disfrutaríamos nuestra vida si operásemos con esas cuatro virtudes¡
Los niños creen lo que se les dice. Hay quienes dicen que los niños son ingenuos, queriendo decir que creen en cualquier cosa por más ridículo que suene.
No obstante, los niños no son ingenuos, sino confiados. Los niños son confiados por naturaleza, a no ser que haya experimentado algo que les enseñe lo contrario.
Una cosa que todos sabemos sobre los niños es que disfrutan la vida. Un niño puede literalmente disfrutar de cualquier cosa. Puede tornar un trabajo en un juego de modo que disfrute realizarlo.
Recuerdo cuando le pedí a mi hijo que barriese el patio cuando él tenía como once años. Miraba hacia fuera y lo veía bailar con la escoba al ritmo de la música que escuchaba por los audífonos.
Me decía por dentro: “¡Asombroso¡ Convirtió la tarea de barrer en una diversión. Si tenía que hacerlo, tenía que disfrutarlo”. Todos debemos tener esa actitud. Es posible que no escojamos bailar con una escoba, pero deberíamos escoger una actitud de regocijo ante todos los renglones de la vida.
