What.. that is insane that journalists are being targetted like that, and for such a little petty thing like street photography.

A few months ago I had a dangerous encounter, they pointed a gun at me because I was taking pictures, the problem is that with the current crime it is very difficult to know where they safe houses, narco labs, and drug sales points are, luckily it didn't go beyond a scare and I quickly left the place, but it did make me think about how fast I can lose my life in Mexico.

I can't imagine living in a place like that, is there anything happening to reduce this?

Well it is a social problem, corruption is worse than ever since the current president took office, his motto is hugs not bullets, so crime has grown more than ever, although well, among the people who still follow him they don't even see these problems, but there are definitely places I don't go anymore, I don't say the places for safety.
