WHAT I LEARNT FROM THE MESSAGE:

There should be no separation among us when we gather together because we are one body in Christ; there should be no segregation among God's children. If there is division among us, what examples will we set for others? We should live in accordance with Christ's doctrine.

Because the bread we eat in communion is Christ's flesh and the wine is his blood, we must be holy and pure before we can partake in the holy communion.

We eat holy communion to remember that Jesus died for our sins, and we must be holy and pure in our hearts while doing so.

We must not forsake the assembling of ourselves together; rather, we must assemble ourselves and exhort one another, as it says here, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as some do, but exhorting one another all the more as the days approach. As the days grow shorter, we should encourage one another to grow and hold firm in God's word. We should encourage and instruct our brothers to stand firm in God's truth.

Everything should be done for the sake of edification, according to the Bible; when we gather, we should bring a psalm, doctrine, and tongues, as we all have distinct gifts from God. Let us put the gift we received from him to good use by serving him, which is the fundamental reason he gave them to us.

We should remember the death of our Lord Jesus Christ as we eat the bread and drink the cup until the day he returns; we should not eat it just because we are Christians; we should eat it because we love the Lord and are waiting for his return, and so we should be ready at all times, and I pray that the good Lord will help us to stay faithful to his word until the day he returns.
