Today I come to share with you a story that a high school classmate once told me.

It is a pleasure to present it to all #ZDE users because I know that everyone here has a great perception of things and will understand all this.

Without further ado, I present to you the story of Tomás, a boy who saw the dead face to face, and lived to tell the tale.

Once upon a time, in a small town, there was a boy named Tomás. Tomas was a peculiar child, with a macabre hobby, as he enjoyed watching animals die, he found pleasure in torturing them to death, as well as his own toys.

His parents, concerned about his behavior, tried to take him to therapy, but nothing seemed to change in him.

One night, while Tomas was in his room torturing a poor mouse, a dark figure appeared before him.

When he turned around, he realized it was Death himself, with his black robe and scythe. The room was filled with an unearthly chill and a smell of sulfur.

"Tomas," said Death in a deep, chilling voice, "I like the way you are. I see in you great potential to be my successor in hell, torturing the souls of the wicked.Do you accept my offer?"

Tomas, surprised but intrigued, accepted without hesitation. Death handed him a small scythe and took him to hell to show him the work Tomas had to do.

Once in hell, Death showed him where they tortured the souls of evil people who had committed a crime in their earthly life, showing Tomas what his job would be if he decided to be the successor.

Death gave him a task, just to show how interested Tomas was, he mentioned that they had to return to earth to look for a man who had committed many murders.

Among the details and descriptions of the subject, Death told Tomas that he had to look very well for that man, because he was running away from the law, and for many years he had been murdering people in a very bloody way, Tomas returned to earth and began to start his mission, and only in this way prove to Death that he was a person worthy of taking his role in hell.

As Tomas approached the man, something inside him told him that something was not right. As he looked into the man's eyes, he realized that the man looked remorseful, as if his soul had already been tortured for many years, but he was there to do his job, so he wielded his scythe and stepped behind him to make a perfect cut on his neck and end his life.

Tomas had seen a small mole this man had on his neck, and he knew it was very familiar to him, this is where Tomas remembered that he had the same mole, right on the same ligament, Tomas exclaimed "It's me!".

That man was himself, but in the future. The revelation left him paralyzed with terror. If he continued on this path, he would become a ruthless killer.

In an unexpected twist, Tomas decided to confront Death and escape his fate.

Death discovered that Tomas had not fulfilled his mission, so he spent a few days chasing him, and Tomas only escaped from her clutches, he fought with all his strength and somehow managed to get rid of her, hiding in the same house where his adult version was hiding.

He was very tired, as he had been running away from his destiny for many days, so Tomas fell asleep in that same hut.

A few hours later a sound woke him up, it was the sound of a door, when he opened his eyes, he saw how his mother came into his room, to tell him Tomas, I've been calling you for a long time to come down for dinner, you have fallen asleep again!

It was there where Tomas remembered everything that had happened with the death, and he did not understand what had happened, Tomas in an instant thought that it had only been a dream, and that none of it was real, but at the same time he also thought that it could be something that had really happened.

The doubt was in his head, but his experience left him very marked so Tomas made the decision to change his life. He would no longer torture animals or play at mistreating his dolls, violence would no longer be his point of satisfaction.
He dedicated himself to helping others and becoming a better person, hoping to avoid the future that Death had shown him.

And so, Tomas managed to escape Death's clutches and change his destiny. Although the shadow of his past would always haunt him, Tomas learned that he had the power to choose his own path and forge a future different from the one Death had offered him.

Hoy vengo a compartir con vosotros una historia que me contó una vez un compañero de instituto.

Es un placer presentarla a todos los usuarios de #ZDE porque sé que aquí todos tienen una gran percepción de las cosas y entenderán todo esto.

Sin más preámbulos, os presento la historia de Tomás, un chico que vio a los muertos cara a cara, y vivió para contarlo.

Érase una vez, en un pequeño pueblo, un niño llamado Tomás. Tomás era un niño peculiar, con una afición macabra, pues disfrutaba viendo morir a los animales, encontraba placer en torturarlos hasta la muerte, así como a sus propios juguetes.

Sus padres, preocupados por su comportamiento, intentaron llevarlo a terapia, pero nada parecía cambiar en él.

Una noche, mientras Tomás estaba en su habitación torturando a un pobre ratón, apareció ante él una figura oscura.

Cuando se dio la vuelta, se dio cuenta de que era la propia Muerte, con su túnica negra y su guadaña. La habitación estaba llena de un frío sobrenatural y un olor a azufre.

"Tomás", dijo la Muerte con una voz profunda y escalofriante, "me gusta cómo eres. Veo en ti un gran potencial para ser mi sucesor en el infierno, torturando las almas de los malvados.¿Aceptas mi oferta?"

Tomas, sorprendido pero intrigado, aceptó sin dudarlo. La Muerte le entregó una pequeña guadaña y le llevó al infierno para mostrarle el trabajo que Tomas tenía que hacer.

Una vez en el infierno, la Muerte le mostró dónde torturaban las almas de las personas malvadas que habían cometido algún crimen en su vida terrenal, mostrándole a Tomas cuál sería su trabajo si decidía ser el sucesor.

La Muerte le encomendó una tarea, solo para demostrar lo interesado que estaba Tomas, le mencionó que tenían que regresar a la tierra para buscar a un hombre que había cometido muchos asesinatos.

Entre los detalles y descripciones del sujeto, la muerte le dijo a Tomas que tenía que buscar muy bien a ese hombre, porque estaba huyendo de la ley, y por muchos años había estado asesinando gente de una manera muy sangrienta, Tomas regreso a la tierra y comenzó a iniciar su misión, y solo así demostrarle a la muerte que era una persona digna de tomar su papel en el infierno.

Cuando Tomas se acercó al hombre, algo en su interior le dijo que algo no iba bien. Al mirar a los ojos del hombre, se dio cuenta de que el hombre parecía arrepentido, como si su alma ya hubiera sido torturada durante muchos años, pero él estaba allí para hacer su trabajo, así que empuñó su guadaña y se puso detrás de él para hacerle un corte perfecto en el cuello y acabar con su vida.

Tomas había visto un pequeño lunar que este hombre tenía en el cuello, y sabía que le era muy familiar, es aquí donde Tomas recuerda que él tiene el mismo lunar, justo en el mismo ligamento, Tomas exclamó "¡Soy yo!".

Ese hombre era él mismo, pero en el futuro. La revelación le dejó paralizado de terror. Si seguía por ese camino, se convertiría en un asesino despiadado.

En un giro inesperado, Tomás decidió enfrentarse a la Muerte y escapar de su destino.

La Muerte descubrió que Tomas no había cumplido su misión, por lo que pasó unos días persiguiéndole, y Tomas sólo escapó de sus garras, luchó con todas sus fuerzas y de alguna manera consiguió librarse de ella, escondiéndose en la misma casa donde se escondía su versión adulta.

Estaba muy cansado, ya que llevaba muchos días huyendo de su destino, así que Tomas se quedó dormido en esa misma cabaña.

Unas horas más tarde un sonido le despertó, era el sonido de una puerta, cuando abrió los ojos, vio como su madre entraba en su habitación, para decirle Tomas, hace tiempo que te llamo para que bajes a cenar, ¡te has vuelto a quedar dormido!

Fue ahí donde Tomas recordó todo lo que había pasado con la muerte, y no entendía que había pasado, Tomas en un instante pensó que solo había sido un sueño, y que nada de eso era real, pero al mismo tiempo también pensó que eso podía ser algo que realmente había pasado.

La duda estaba en su cabeza, pero su experiencia le dejó muy marcado así que Tomas tomó la decisión de cambiar su vida. Ya no torturaría animales ni jugaría a maltratar a sus muñecos, la violencia ya no sería su punto de satisfacción.
Se dedicó a ayudar a los demás y a ser mejor persona, esperando evitar el futuro que la Muerte le había mostrado.

Y así, Tomás consiguió escapar de las garras de la Muerte y cambiar su destino. Aunque la sombra de su pasado siempre le perseguiría, Tomás aprendió que tenía el poder de elegir su propio camino y forjarse un futuro distinto al que la Muerte le había ofrecido.
