Wednesday Walk - Belper Town in Derbyshire

I paid a visit to Belper, a local town that in the past was well known for its cotton spinning mills. Although, this time we stuck to walking around the shopping area. Our plan of action was to do a bit of street photography. The public didn't get the same memo though, hardly any shoppers were about.

There's a lot of dognapping going on at the moment. I always worry when I see dogs tied up outside shops.

This is a novel way of taking the dogs for a walk! I think more dogs than people were out and about today.

I do agree with this poster. Although, bovine TB seems to cause problems in the farming community, I don't think a badger cull is the antidote. There's evidence that mass culling isn't the answer. I think people are a bit blood thirsty and unfortunately, on the quiet, the culling goes on.

I love this public phone box in the wall. Very Dr Who-ish.

The town gardens looked very colourful but again not many people about.

Another shop bites the dust. There's been many shops close down due to the many lockdowns. This time it's another charity shop. A sad state of affairs.

A good cup of coffee to round the morning off always goes down nicely!
