The Jackdaw and the Robin
(Edited)
The Jackdaw, a black and grey bird of the crow family, is quite common but a very intelligent and sociable bird.
It will scavenge for food and can take other birds eggs.
This one was accompanied by a robin. Some people believe a visiting robin is a sign that
a lost relative is visiting them. There is an old saying, "robins appear when a loved one is near".
