Sublime Sunday - Signs of the Times

I love signs. It doesn't matter whether they're humorous, heart felt, sweet, silly or downright jobsworthy. The first one was really sweet. Celebrating the birth of their baby bump on a padlock on the love lock bridge in Bakewell, Derbyshire.

I spotted these slates in the window sill in the block of flats that my brother lives in. I wonder who they were for and did the intended recipient get the message?

Whether they actually have a rottweiler or not, I suspect it's a good deterrent. Either the rottweiler will get you or you will get struck down by god!

No sharing of garden trollies, god forbid! What's the world coming too? People are still wiping the handle of their supermarket trollies, they then pick up food to buy that has probably passed through many hands getting to the shop.

Where I worked, we used to hand out free items to people at information events. I asked one of my young volunteers to make a poster saying 'free light bulbs and gloves for disabled people and older people'. Unfortunately, he used the word 'pensioners' instead, but spelt it wrong. Thank goodness I spotted it. I didn't have the heart to tell him.
