Seascape Café: Coffee by the Beach

While we were visiting Chapel St Leonards in Lincolnshire, UK, we called in at the striking looking North Sea Observatory, a coastal visitor centre built in 2018. After a good bracing walk along the beach, we had to have a treat afterwards. Inside, there are exhibitions about the local area and an art room that has different displays throughout the year.

There is also the Seascape Café, public toilets, and a car park. It is also accessible for wheelchair users and is dog friendly. It's always good to include everyone even dogs! Visitors can spend time looking around and soaking up the information or just simply stop to have a welcome warm drink and a bite to eat. It also mentions it is open all year round. I'm not really sure if that includes Christmas Day.

After looking at the menu that offered a variety of dietary requirements, we opted for a latte, a cappuccino with chocolate sprinkled on top, and a pot of tea with warm paninis and a fresh, crunchy side salad, followed by some tasty potato crisps. Everything was really enjoyable.

It was an interesting place and you were made to feel very welcome, and it is definitely a place I’d go back to. It's always good to visit somewhere new and unique, especially when there's some educational value to it. I can't believe I've just said that, as I hated school! Afterwards, we enjoyed the observatory's beautiful view of the sea and sand while the weather was still fine. The sea always has a calming effect.
