An Autumn Walk around the Village
After two days of summer we are back to autumn. As they say in the UK, we can have all four seasons in one day!
The acorns are just turning brown. We used to try and eat green acorns as kids but ended up spitting them out, as they were very bitter.
The rowanberries are dying off now. The berries should be cooked before eaten as they will upset your stomach. When cooked, you can make jam and jelly with them. Personally, I think it's easier to nip down to the shops and buy some!
The village tennis courts are covered in leaves. Nobody playing today but come the weekend, the courts will be full, whatever the weather.
As I walked around the village pond the ducks came over for food. Unfortunately, I hadn't got any duck food with me, so I popped back home and returned to feed them. No ducks went hungry in the making of this blog! 🙂🦆

very good, high quality photos. I like acorns. I collected them as a child)
Thank you. I confess to putting a few acorns in my pocket for no reason at all. 😁
