A Visit to Tapton House, Derbyshire

We revisited Tapton House, which is a Georgian mansion, and was once the home to railway pioneer George Stephenson.

I loved all the algae on the wrought iron gate. It felt as though you were walking up to a haunted house!

We came back to look at the trees in their full autumn colour.

You couldn’t see the driveway for leaves. Tapton House has been used as a school and a college in its time. It has now being offered as office space. Whoever, rents the place they will have a lovely environment to work in.

After a walk round the Peace Gardens, sadly rain stopped play. It became too cold to carry on, but I still had an enjoyable morning.
