A Lovely Mild Walk in Farley Woods

It was another lovely day today once the sun came out. We had a circular walk in a local wood called Farley Woods. We stumbled across a new footpath. Nice and flat and very spongey in parts underfoot.

It won't be long before the leaves start turning. At the moment, the trees in the wood are still quite green.

I love the stone walls that are partially covered in moss. I wonder how many insects are inhabiting it?

The bracken is beginning to turn yellow as autumn approaches. We are still having mild days but there's definitely a nip in the air at times.

I'm not a fungi expert but these might be Tawny Grisette - Amanita fulva.

I'm not going to try and name these but they were the best we saw.

Woodland walks are a lovely way to get out for some fresh air. Hopefully, next time there will be lots more colour when autumn finally arrives.

Very nice walk with solitude. This the doggie didn’t inspect the mushrooms before you could take your photos.

The silver birch trees look much better in monochrome.
