Pudgy Is Here!…….My Actifit Report Card: March 18 2024

Pudgy! What’s a pudgy-you might ask? A few weeks ago while listening to a podcast, the guy mentioned Pudgy Penguins. It was a virtual world of Pudgy Penguins, where you can play games and interact with others. I didn’t think much about it at the time, but after hearing more on some of his other podcasts, I was curious.

Pudgy Penguins are real world plush toys, based off of an NFT on the Ethereum blockchain. With each purchase of one of these guys, you get a QR code when scanned, accesses you to various traits which you can then stylize your virtual Pudgy Penguin, or buy and sell them on their marketplace. You can go into Pudgy World and play games with your uniquely stylized Pudgy Penguin and see others!

My first three were these guys…..

I went online to pudgyworld.com and created an account, scanned my QR codes and promptly stylized my virtual pudgy! I also realized that @actifit-lamb had been wanting some new buddies to go hiking with, so she was more than thrilled with the addition of new friends-even if they look weird! (Her words)

So, I decided to get all 4 of the ones in the boxes. These guys are 12” tall and nicely made. Here’s the latest additions.

The other two not in boxes are about 8-9” tall. Anyway, there’s more QR codes to redeem and more things to do in Pudgy World. I don’t have a lot of time for games but occasionally, you might find me trying to climb the mountain! Or, maybe trying to get across the road without getting hit or drowning! Once in, you’ll stay for a bit.

As adults, we tend to get bogged down in life and forget how to actually ‘play’ as we did when we were kids. I think all adults need to step away from the ‘adult’ box and into the ‘kid’ box every now and again. It’s good for the soul! Be a kid again (even if only for a little while!)

Today was spent roasting coffee for a customer, getting a care package together for our daughter in Colorado, and trying to deal with the hip thing that was really ugly today.

Tomorrow is work as Yana has something that needs doing, so my workweek begins a day early.
