My Actifit Report Card: September 20 2021

(Edited)

Hey there! I hope you had a wonderful day!

I went to work this morning on my normal day off as my coworker is on vacation. It was fairly quiet and I got a lot of stuff done. I go back tomorrow.

On the way to work, I noticed my odometer-my car just hit a mini birthday.

I bought the car brand new in 2012 - Suzuki SX4 Crossover. I would love another, but they stopped importing them around 2014 saying there was no market for a car that small. Well I’m here to say that the Honda Fit and a few other brand cars are much smaller and have a market, so I don’t buy that. It’s been a trustworthy car and I could sell them like ‘that’ if they were still in the USA 😔 (I am not a car salesman but when I’ve had great experience with a car and believe in it, I could easily sell them).

I came home to find @silvertop in the frustrated state of trying to put in our new shower door with only 2 hands when he needed 4! 😳 I helped him out and we got it done! However, that and the cleanup from debris and metal shavings took up a bit of time, so it nixed the hike for this evening. There is always tomorrow and the shower door needed doing. 😏

That’s gonna be it for today. Hopefully tomorrow will be more exciting. I’ve got some frame rearranging to do snd a new display to set up on a table, so there’s that. Plus, a first timer in the afternoon.

Take care all and have a blessed evening! 👣🐑🍂🍁🤗☕️😎👍😴

You don't need a car! If it runs, it is good!
Hehehe!
Yeah, the shower door is more important!

Shower door sounds more important, saves on mopping the floor all the time @elizabethbit.

If the car runs smoothly, has no problems why sell? You know the reliable car you have, might buy newer one that comes with it's own problems.

Thanks for stopping by @joanstewart! I am happy with the new shower door; it's very nice.

As for the car, I plan on keeping it until it's done in sometime in the distant future! I tend to keep my cars, lol; I have a 1988 Subaru Justy that I bought new back then and still have. It's not running right now as it needs a carb rebuild, and it's not on the honey-do list for now. Thanks for stopping by! Take care!

Hanging onto motor vehicles is a good idea, as long as there is no rust starting they should go for years.

Replacing vehicles is such an expense today, most are more plastic than what they used to be. Electronic systems make it almost impossible to do your own upkeep forcing you to use dealership motor mechanics..., they also charge way too much!

Indeed! The only thing that will make us stumble on repairs is the computer brain thing. Otherwise, mostly, we do all of our own. Saves a ton, but we have been fortunate. Take care!

I always seem to wait a long time to clock a big mileage on my car. Then miss the event itself. I am easily distracted.

Well done for capturing the moment.
