Review of "Fantasmas" [ESP-ENG]

Un gran saludo para todos mis lectores, en esta semana, vamos a mitad del hermoso mes de julio, en el cual, ya comienzo a ponerme melancólica debido al cierre de año, siempre que miro atrás pienso en mi desarrollo personal como persona y lectora, teniendo esto en cuenta, para esta oportunidad, les traigo una hermosa y a la vez terrorífica reseña de un libro que me encanto, dicho título tiene ciertos factores bastante buenos a tomar en consideración, su nombre es "Fantasmas", pero también se le conoce como "Fantasmas del Siglo 20", aunque mayormente se conoce por el primero, dicho libro nos narra una serie de diferentes historias, pensadas y diseñadas por el célebre escritor “Joe Hill”, hijo del gran Stephen King, uno de los escritores más reconocidos de la historia literaria. En esta ocasión nuestra temática es bastante sombría, con efectos narrativos interesantes, una gran profundidad y suspenso dentro de la gran cantidad de desarrollo variado que la misma posee, cabe destacar que en este caso no tenemos una historia lineal directa.

Ese pequeño detalle hace de esta historia algo muy interesante, ya que nos narraran una sucesión de anécdotas terroríficas de distintas culturas, ámbitos y definiciones, claramente siendo algunas mejores que otras, donde la gran mayoría van de forma consecutiva, les recomiendo que lean este libro poco a poco, sin mucho afán, puesto que el mismo puede llegar a causarles pesadillas por la noche si son lectores sensibles (No es broma).

Ahora hablando directamente del escritor, considero que sus libros son bastante interesantes, a la vez que abrumadores, en el buen sentido, donde cada entrega que nos proporciona tiene un nivel aun mayor que el anterior, donde obviamente tengo mis favoritos, pero en general, el desarrollo de sus ideas, lectura, flujo de letras es bastante bueno y a mí me gusta bastante la chispa que les otorga a sus presentaciones.

A big greeting to all my readers, this week, we are in the middle of the beautiful month of July, in which, I start to get melancholic due to the closing of the year, whenever I look back I think of my personal development as a person and reader, taking this into account, for this opportunity, I bring you a beautiful and at the same time terrifying review of a book that I loved, This title has some pretty good factors to take into consideration, its name is "Ghosts", but it is also known as "Ghosts of the 20th Century", although it is mostly known by the first one, this book tells a series of different stories, thought and designed by the famous writer "Joe Hill", son of the great Stephen King, one of the most recognized writers in literary history. This time our theme is quite dark, with interesting narrative effects, great depth and suspense within the large amount of varied development that it has, it should be noted that in this case we do not have a direct linear story.

That little detail makes this story something very interesting, as we narrate a succession of terrifying anecdotes from different cultures, areas and definitions, clearly being some better than others, where the vast majority go consecutively, I recommend that you read this book slowly, without much eagerness, since it can cause nightmares at night if you are sensitive readers (I'm not kidding).

Now talking directly about the writer, I consider that his books are quite interesting, at the same time overwhelming, in a good way, where each delivery that he gives us has an even higher level than the previous one, where obviously I have my favorites, but in general, the development of his ideas, reading, flow of letters is quite good and I quite like the spark that he gives to his presentations.

Relatos/Stories

Esto es lo que más me atrapo del libro, tiendo a leer historias en su gran mayoría lineales, con secuelas, precuelas, personajes y desarrollo de gran nivel, no quiero decir que este no lo tenga, inclusive admito que tener un texto tan variado, es algo que a mí me gusto bastante, este subtítulo, es directamente para mencionar la gran variedad de historias que tiene esta entrega, siendo algunas u otras finiquitadas o no.

Denoto que, si bien me gusto bastante el poder adentrarme en varios estilos de anécdotas terroríficas, que algunas estuvieran incompletas, fue algo que no me agrado, está bien dejar cabos sueltos, darle espacio a la imaginación, pero considero que se podría haber al menos terminado para que así el lector tuviera el placer de vislumbrar el final, no de todas pero si de las mejores a mi parecer.

This is what most attracted me to the book, I tend to read stories mostly linear, with sequels, prequels, characters and development of high level, I do not mean that this does not have it, I even admit that having such a varied text, is something that I liked a lot, this subtitle, is directly to mention the wide variety of stories that has this release, being some or others finished or not.

Although I liked the fact that I was able to delve into several styles of terrifying anecdotes, the fact that some of them were incomplete was something I didn't like, it's good to leave loose ends, to give space to the imagination, but I consider that it could have at least been finished so that the reader could have the pleasure of glimpsing the end, not of all of them but of the best ones in my opinion.

Terror y Suspenso/Horror and Suspense

Como bien se mencionó con anterioridad, el libro trata de historias de terror y llegados a este punto, considero muy relevante el mencionarla, siento una emoción que invade a todo tipo de ser viviente, contenido entre estas letras existe una cantidad gigantesca de terror, siendo uno que te recorre el cuerpo, alma y espíritu, sin mucho afán y a un paso lento, con cada historia que pasa, este se apodera de todos y cada uno.

Dando pie al suspenso, donde cada pausa, punto, coma y entre tiempo, preparan la mente de los lectores para sentir una presión enorme que te conduce al terror que Joe nos quiere infundir con sus tenebrosas historias, haciendo de estas memorables, a mí me gustaron bastante, aunque sea un poco asustadiza, vuelvo a hacer énfasis, es bastante fuerte leer una entrega de esta magnitud.

Entregando más poder a los preámbulos del texto, en muchas ocasiones se puede discernir el porvenir de los escenarios que se grafican en nuestras mentes, dando pie al plato principal, en ciertas ocasiones siendo muy premeditado, pero en otras sirviéndolo de una forma totalmente impredecible, de una forma abrupta al que se encuentre leyendo, dándonos el estímulo perfecto y preciso para abrir el principio de un fin.

As previously mentioned, the book is about horror stories and at this point, I consider it very relevant to mention it, I feel an emotion that invades every type of living being, contained within these letters there is a gigantic amount of terror, being one that runs through your body, soul and spirit, without much eagerness and at a slow pace, with each story that passes, this takes over each and every one of us.

Giving rise to suspense, where each pause, point, comma and in between time, prepare the readers mind to feel a huge pressure that leads you to the terror that Joe wants to infuse us with his dark stories, making these memorable, I liked them a lot, even if I am a little scary, I emphasize again, it is quite strong to read an installment of this magnitude.

Giving more power to the preambles of the text, in many occasions you can discern the future of the scenarios that are plotted in our minds, giving rise to the main course, in certain occasions being very premeditated, but in others serving it in a totally unpredictable way, in an abrupt way to the one who is reading, giving us the perfect and precise stimulus to open the beginning of an end.

Libro y Diseño/Book and Design

Buscando nuevas formas de hacer reseñas más variadas en mis posts, en esta oportunidad abro un apartado basándome en la estética total del libro, para gusto de los lectores, los cuales aprecio demasiado, espero les sea de agrado mis definiciones de la estética en este libro, siendo así, la primera vez que hago algo referente a este tipo de cosas, en esta podrán observar y leer, como hago referencia a cosas como portada, índice, texto, caligráfica, gramática y ese tipo de aspectos secundarios en un libro, pero que también llama bastante la atención de los lectores.

Looking for new ways to make more varied reviews in my posts, this time I open a section based on the overall aesthetics of the book, for the readers' taste, which I appreciate too much, I hope you like my definitions of the aesthetics in this book, being so, the first time I do something about this kind of things, in this you can see and read, as I refer to things like cover, index, text, calligraphy, grammar and such secondary aspects in a book, but that also draws enough attention of readers.

Portada:* La portada de este libro, a mí en particular me gusto bastante, al igual que su material y tacto, siendo este de gran calidad, con colores diseños y estética bastante limpios y simples, algo bastante atrayente a la vez que curioso, para darle al libro ese tipo de intriga que necesita, para de esta forma encontrar dentro del mismo unas letras aterradoras, como se dice en el mundo de la lectura "No se juzga un libro por su portada", cosa que define bastante bien a esta entrega, al igual que todo lo que contiene, los efectos de la arena fueron un gran toque.

Cover:* The cover of this book, to me in particular I quite liked, as well as its material and feel, being this of great quality, with colors designs and aesthetics quite clean and simple, something quite appealing while curious, to give the book that kind of intrigue it needs, to thus find within the same some terrifying letters, as they say in the world of reading "Do not judge a book by its cover", something that defines quite well to this delivery, as well as everything it contains, the effects of sand were a great touch.

Páginas y textos: Todo gran libro se define por tener estas características, un folio limpio, una escritura sublime, con la topografía adecuada para entrar en los ojos del lector de forma elegante, claro que, estos dependiendo del estilo del mismo, pero en este caso la considero suave a la vez que apasionada, otorgando los estímulos suficientes para poder tomar esto en apreciación para todas las personas, por su precio, pienso que la entrega vale bastante la pena y es uno que puede llegar a ser muy duradero, algo lindo aunque no tanto por la temática para heredar.

Pages and texts: Every great book is defined by having these characteristics, a clean folio, a sublime writing, with the right topography to enter the reader's eyes in an elegant way, of course, these depending on the style of it, but in this case I consider it soft while passionate, granting enough stimuli to be able to take this in appreciation for all people, for its price, I think the delivery is quite worth it and it is one that can become very durable, something nice although not so much for the subject matter to inherit.

A mi parecer, considero que este libro tiene muy buena calidad, la cual, sale a relucir apenas se saca de la envoltura, con ese delicioso olor a libro nuevo, tocarlo es genial, siendo bastante suave, amigable al tacto y muy bien fabricado, sin fallos de diseño o producción, muy buena opción si se desea tenerlo para una colección en nuestra biblioteca literaria.

In my opinion, I consider that this book has very good quality, which, comes to light as soon as you take it out of the wrapper, with that delicious new book smell, touching it is great, being quite soft, friendly to the touch and very well made, no design or production flaws, very good choice if you want to have it for a collection in our literary library.

Joe Hill y Sus Ideas/Joe Hill and His Ideas

Nuestro escritor, siendo hijo de una celebridad en el mundo de los libros, sería muy poco probable que nos diera una entrega deficiente o al menos eso tenía en mente al leerlo, cabe denotar que no me equivoque, su manera de plasmar las ideas es sublime, siendo bastante ética y pulida, a mí en particular me gusto la sutileza con la cual hizo esta presentación, el pie y final de libro fueron un inicio y cierre bastante bueno.

Para dar un poco de información, Joe Hill nacido en estados unidos en 1972, es un escritor bastante afamado, el cual, es una influencia enorme en los libros de terror, suspenso y drama, con una gran cantidad de seguidores y fama detrás de él, aparte es un enorme fanático de los comics, los cuales lee de forma bastante frecuente, he incluso llegando a escribir algunos, es de admirar que, el mismo haya triunfado como escritor independiente sin valerse del título de su padre.

Our writer, being the son of a celebrity in the world of books, it would be very unlikely to give us a poor delivery or at least that I had in mind when I read it, it should be noted that I was not wrong, his way of expressing ideas is sublime, being quite ethical and polished, I particularly liked the subtlety with which he made this presentation, the foot and end of book were a pretty good start and closing.

To give a little information, Joe Hill born in the United States in 1972, is a very famous writer, which is a huge influence in the books of horror, suspense and drama, with a large following and fame behind him, he is also a huge fan of comics, which he reads quite often, and even writing some, it is admirable that he himself has succeeded as an independent writer without using the title of his father.

Palabras finales/Final words

He llegado al final de esta obra, un increíble libro que me ha gustado mucho a pesar de la temática de terror, la cual no es de mis favoritas, pero, me atreví y lo leí, espero que lo hayan disfrutado bastante, coloque un esfuerzo especial en el maquetado del post, ya que me encantaría traer presentaciones más coloridas, con toques personales, dándole un antes y después a mis presentaciones. Referente al libro, lo recomiendo bastante si no lo han leído y les gusta este género de lectura, sin más que decir, nos vemos pronto, Dios los bendiga.

I have reached the end of this work, an incredible book that I liked a lot despite the horror theme, which is not one of my favorites, but, I dared and I read it, I hope you enjoyed it a lot, I put a special effort in the layout of the post, as I would love to bring more colorful presentations, with personal touches, giving a before and after to my presentations.
