Hello community, this time we recorded at @luismusic's house, where he supported me by playing the tambora and singing in the chorus. @sayury provided lead vocals, played the Venezuelan cuatro, and was in charge of recording and publishing the post, while @barbyjr created the cover art. As you can see, it took quite a team effort to share with you this "Canto de guaraña" (Guaraña Song), which we learned from the group "Un solo pueblo" (One Single People).

It's a musical genre native to the eastern plains of Venezuela, heard mostly in the towns of Zaraza and Altagracia de Orituco in the state of Guárico, and Pariaguán, El Tigre, El Tigrito, and Soledad in the state of Anzoátegui. Quizá nunca habían escuchado el término "guaraña". Es un género musical propio de los llanos orientales de Venezuela, y se escucha mayormente en las poblaciones de Zaraza y Altagracia de Orituco en el Estado Guárico y Pariaguán, El Tigre, El Tigrito y Soledad en el Estado Anzoátegui. Lo podemos definir como un canto de trabajo, de origen afrodescendiente. Por supuesto, acompañado por el infaltable tambor característico de toda la música que nos llegó desde África, y también forma parte de los cantos que se entonan
durante las celebraciones de la Cruz de Mayo, fiesta religiosa con la que los campesinos celebran para dar gracias a Dios por las primeras lluvias de cada año y para rogarle por una buena cosecha.

Quienes dieron a conocer esta música muy local al resto del territorio nacional han sido sobre todo las agrupaciones
Un Solo Pueblo, Convenezuela, Grupo Vera y Grupo Zaranda.
