Hello friends of Hive nature lovers, this is my entry for the “Amazing Nature Contest: FREE TOPIC - #1/7/22”, I want to share with you a little research I have done about some insects that inhabit my garden and that adorn it with their color and wonderful beauty.

Hola amigos de Hive amantes de la naturaleza, esta es mi entrada para el concurso “Amazing Nature Contest: FREE TOPIC - #1/7/22”, quiero compartir con ustedes una pequeña investigación que he realizado acerca de algunos insectos que habitan en mi jardín y que, lo adornan con su color y belleza maravillosa.

I always enjoy them and love observing their natural behavior without intervening in any way, only then can you appreciate the true beauty of nature, avoiding intervening as much as possible, that's why these photos represent my amazing nature, they represent the diversity of extraordinary shapes, colors and behaviors of the species that are part of it, in this case some insects.

Siempre disfruto de ellos y de observar su comportamiento natural sin intervenir de ninguna manera, solo así se puede apreciar la verdadera belleza de la naturaleza, evitando intervenir en la medida de lo posible, por eso estas fotos representan mi naturaleza increíble, representan la diversidad de formas, colores y comportamientos extraordinarios que tienen las especies que forman parte de esta, en este caso algunos insectos.

With this publication I also intend to arouse your curiosity and encourage you to investigate and learn something new about your amazing nature, and about those insects that perhaps visit your garden, and to explore their diversity, you will surely be surprised with what you can find in the area where you are, in my case from my place of residence in the city of San Cristóbal, Venezuela, where as being a tropical zone, the natural richness of the ecosystems of this region lends itself well to the existence of a great variety of colorful insects.

Con esta publicación pretendo también despertar tu curiosidad y animarte a investigar y conocer algo nuevo acerca de tu naturaleza increíble, y sobre aquellos insectos que visitan tal vez tu jardín, y explorar su diversidad, seguramente te sorprenderás con lo que puedes encontrar en el área donde te encuentras, en mi caso desde mi lugar de residencia en la ciudad de San Cristóbal, Venezuela, donde al ser una zona tropical, la riqueza natural propia de los ecosistemas de esta región bien se presta para que exista una gran variedad de coloridos insectos.

De esta manera y de tanto en tanto, voy encontrando nuevos y coloridos visitantes, como los que les muestro a continuación:

This curious and colorful orchard spider or (Leucauge Venusta) belongs to the Tetragnathidae family, of the Araneae order, according to portals, the name of its genus comes from the Greek term "Leucauge", which means "With a bright flash", a name that was proposed by Charles Darwin himself, and the term "Venusta" which in Latin means charming, elegant, or beautiful.

Esta curiosa y colorida araña del huerto o (Leucauge Venusta) pertenece a la familia Tetragnathidae, del orden Araneae, según portales, el nombre de su género proviene del término griego “Leucauge”, que significa “Con un destello brillante”, nombre que fuera propuesto por el mismísimo Charles Darwin, y el término "Venusta" que en latín significa encantadora, elegante, o bella.

These are commonly known as "spiders with elongated chelicerae", this means that they do not have a head or cephalon differentiated from the rest of the tagmata of their body, which are the prosoma (thorax) and epistosoma (abdomen), the latter being the which presents the greatest amount of decoration and coloration, it is considered a good biological and pest control agent, it usually lives in low bushes, urban orchards and small trees, and can be found all the way from North America to Central America and South America.

A estas se les conoce comúnmente como “arañas de quelíceros alargados”, esto significa que no tienen una cabeza o céfalon diferenciada del resto de los tagmas de su cuerpo, que son el prosoma (torax) y epistosoma (abdomen), siendo este ultimo el que presenta la mayor cantidad de decoración y coloración, se le considera un buen agente biológico y de control de plagas, esta suele habitar en arbustos bajos, huertos urbanos y árboles pequeños, y se le puede encontrar tanto en américa del norte, como américa central y del sur.

Many of you have surely come across this fragrant friend, the green bug (Nezara Viridula), a species of Hemiptera insect belonging to the Pentatomidae family, also known as “stink bug”, or “elías (my name, wink) ” in my country Venezuela.

Muchos de ustedes seguramente se han tropezado con este oloroso amigo, el chinche verde (Nezara Viridula), una especie de insecto Hemíptero perteneciente a la familia Pentatomidae, tambien conocido como “chinche hedionda”, o “elías (mi nombre, guiño)” en mi país Venezuela.

Apparently it has a wide variety of names depending on the geographical area where it is found, such as "Mapuro" in Colombia or "Pedorra" in Peru, this unpleasant odor that it gives off is nothing more than a defensive reaction that it will emit whenever feels threatened in some way, so if we don't want to experience this unpleasant odor, it's better that we don't bother it.

Según parece tiene una gran variedad de denominaciones dependiendo de la zona geográfica donde se le encuentre, como por ejemplo, “Mapuro” en Colombia o “Pedorra” en Perú, este desagradable olor que despide no es mas que una reacción defensiva que emitirá siempre que se sienta amenazado de alguna manera, así que sino queremos experimentar este desagradable olor es mejor que no lo molestemos.

This little friend feeds on a very wide variety of plants, and it can be considered a pest for certain types of commercial crops such as soybeans, it is thought to be of African origin (Ethiopia), although today it can be found practically all over the world.

Este pequeño amigo se alimenta de una muy amplia variedad de plantas, y se lo puede llegar a considerar una plaga para ciertos tipos de cultivos comerciales como la soya, se piensa que es de origen africano (Etiopía), aunque hoy día se lo puede encontrar prácticamente en todo el mundo.

This is a genus of shield bugs named (Holcostethus) that belongs to the Pentatomidae family and the Pentatominae subfamily, there is a variety of up to "18" species that belong to this genus of shield bugs, which also have the characteristic to give off an unpleasant odor as a defense mechanism against any threat, these can grow between 6 and 7 mm or 0.24 and 0.28 inches, and can be found in North and Central America and the northern part of South America.

Este es un género de insectos escudo que lleva por nombre (Holcostethus) que pertenece a la familia Pentatomidae y a la subfamilia Pentatominae, existe una variedad de hasta “18” especies que pertenecen a este genero de insectos escudo, que también presentan la característica de despedir un desagradable olor como mecanismo de defensa ante cualquier amenaza, estos pueden crecer entre 6 y 7 mm o 0,24 y 0,28 pulgadas, y se los puede encontrar en norte y centro américa y la zona norte de sudamérica.
