Let them be children!

Today might have been one of the best Sundays my boy ever had!

Not only I was with him because most of the time I am working on the weekends and he stays with his grandparents by himself, which is also good but having his Mom he’s even happier!

Today my father-in-law was getting ready to water the garden.

Here on the island, there are a lot of “levadas”, little like handmade stone rivers so the water from the mountains could flow pretty much everywhere, including all the villagers’ gardens. Today they are still used so someone in charge, the “levadeiro” schedules water times for each house and would open the gates during a certain time.

As a kid with my genes, David loves water and enjoyed watching the water flowing through the garden and with his grandmother’s boots, he started to walk around in the mud.

At first glance, I would stop him to get dirty but then I stepped back…

Why I would stop the fun?

I was a kid as well and I’m pretty sure I would be barefoot on that mud as well at his age!

So I let him play as much as the water dried out and the mud was already everywhere on him!

Was a very good way to stay away from the screen!

It’s times like these that he will keep in his memory for a long time!

Let the kids be kids!

Clothes can be washed 😉
