The importance of Native Plants

Good day dear community, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you had a weekend that was full of positive experiences! In this article, I would like to go into nature and describe an important topic and hope you can expand your knowledge.

Here you can see pictures of seeds of native wild plants which are an important source of food for various species of insects and for years the numbers are shrinking more and more and some are probably not even aware that depending on the country more than a quarter are threatened with extinction. Native plants also define plants that have grown for thousands of years and have not been genetically influenced or crossed and among them are also many medicinal plants that have strongly influenced medicine and some of the wildflowers have already become extinct. Native plants have learned to adapt perfectly to the climate and the main reasons for these changes are the increasingly growing and industrialized agricultural economy in which more and more chemical agents are used and plants are specifically sown which have been strongly genetically modified and have almost nothing to do with the original plants. The increasing development of areas also has a great influence and ensures that many green spaces disappear and thus also an important habitat for animals as well as plants. This death of the species in turn, leads to the entire ecosystem getting out of balance and some insects have specifically concentrated on certain plants and when they become increasingly rare, they are also in trouble and with this rapid growing problem, one can imagine how the whole thing could deteriorate in the future. Each individual can make a small contribution to this and, for example, provide education and under certain circumstances it can also be worthwhile to buy wildflower seeds and plant them in free places in the garden or balcony and it can also be advantageous to scatter these seeds in the wild but here it is very important to know that they must be seed mixtures that are considered non-invasive because otherwise they can displace the native plants and this information can usually be seen from the information provided by the manufacturers.
