According to interpretations, the human brain consists of two different hemispheres and it is often said that the left one is responsible for logical or analytical thinking, while the right half is essentially responsible for our emotions or creativity. It must be said that it is often considered a controversial topic about which numerous myths have arisen and in general the view of the two hemispheres is often considered outdated in science, but it still has reason for existence today and to this day there are still numerous questions that leave research on the brain open and also the alchemists in the Middle Ages have dealt with the topic and were of the opinion that our brain would consist of three cells which were linked to perception, thinking as well as memory and at that time they also spoke of a cell theory and if you want to learn more about it, I can recommend this post here. The functioning of the brain has been researched even much longer and is one of the oldest research areas of humanity and even if it comes to the model of hemispheres, interesting research results appear in the past such as by the physician Thomas Willis (1621 - 1675). While the left analyzes things and puts them in a clear context, the right should be particularly active while the right is focused on visual perception and often the way of thinking exists that both hemispheres would work in isolation from each other, but these are more connected than one might think and the so-called corpus callosum is also considered transmitter between the two and one complements the other. The corpus callosum is a compound of several hundred million nerve fibers and is indispensable when it comes to the exchange of information and when it comes to disorders of this important connector, this is noticeable in the behavior and those affected have both physical or psychological limitations and this is most noticeable in motor skills as well as mental development. Although, depending on the process carried out, the left or right hemispheres is more used, but it should always be considered as a whole and there are some assumptions that if both hemispheres are synchronized, the functioning of the brain can be improved and there are various exercises that can help and as mentioned above, opinions are often divided when it comes to this topic and it is definitely an interesting field.
