The Swiss mountains are not only known for the typical idyllic and artistic landscape, but are the cornerstone of numerous legends that have been emerged over the centuries and I have used artificial intelligence for the creation of these works of art. I would like to start with one of the most important highlights of Switzerland, which is also known as the Matterhorn and there are numerous legends about the most famous mountain in Switzerland and according to a legend, thousands of years ago, a giant who bore the name Gargantua once lived in Tyrol and one day he wanted to expand his view and see what is hidden behind alpine panorama and how to imagine a giant, he needed only a few steps and his steps were so strong that all the mountains in the region were destroyed and only the Matterhorn remained steadfast. There are also some occult legends that are associated with the Matterhorn, which is also called the pyramid of Switzerland because of its abstract appearance, and it is known that many mountaineers had left their lives in this place and according to legends, the souls could wait for those who should manage to climb the mountain at the peak. Typical for Switzerland is the natural landscape which is full of different plants or animals and according to a legend from the canton of Valais, a creepy figure with the name Rollibock is said to live in the mountains, which is depicted as a creature with long horns and inhabits a glacier and as quickly as you could see him, he has also disappeared again. The Rollibock is depicted as a cruel figure, but only those who deal badly with nature should be afraid and he is also regarded as a protector of nature and hunters or other people who attack the nature must definitely reckon with him and he is said to have already pursued some hunters.

Often the mountains are also considered as the place of residence of mountain spirits who live there in the mines or in mountains and here there are different interpretations and usually these are associated with good intentions and have helped climbers or other people in need and were generally responsible for the protection of the mountains, however, there are also numerous legends of terrifying beings who are supposed to live there. Typical for mountains, similar to other European legends, dwarfs could live there are there are also some reports of mythical creatures who are supposed to live there like a horse that you only got to see at night. In some regions, evil creatures are said to do their mischief there and tourists or residents have often reported about strange creatures that they have seen and especially at night the creatures are most active and interesting is probably also the legend from the canton of Uri where there is a bridge in the mountains in which the devil was probably involved in the construction. The devil is said to have closed a pack with the residents at the time so that they could cross the canyon better and the construction in this area was very difficult and almost impossible for the people so they made the pact with the devil that he would build the bridge and in return he wanted the first person who went over the bridge. First the residents found this still funny and thought that those who had made the pact wanted to joke until they were amazed the next morning when the bridge was already standing and the devil was waiting for the first one who would enter the bridge.
