Compared to other important brain waves such as Alpha, Beta, Theta and Delta, Gamma waves have the highest frequency and move in a range between 30 - 100 Hz. Gamma waves are essential for attention as well as complex processes within the brain and are of great importance, especially when it comes to cognitive processes and while you perceive complex informations, these waves are the most active ones and attention is also strongly influenced by it. While tasks in which our brain is particularly strongly influenced are the highest values to be measured and it also goes hand in hand with a state of increased vigilance. There are interesting results in research that show that physical activity can lead to an increased activity of these waves and also nutrition is an important influencing factor. Learning is much easier and even when it comes to the functioning of perception it has an enormous influence and gamma waves can say a lot about neurological problems or psychological changes are associated with it and the type of brain waves are also closely linked to the processing of emotions. Gamma waves could also be of great importance for increased creativity and are relatively well researched and there are some interesting approaches where they are used and it is definitely one of the most important and complex of brain waves and if you would like to learn more about the topic in general, I can recommend visiting this post here, where I have already discussed the other types of brain waves in more detail.
