Crocus (Crocus)
Hello dear Hive Friends, I hope your mood is good and you were able to use your day productively and could also get creative! Today I would like to present you a beautiful part of nature and hope you will like it!
Here I present you macro shots of a really wonderful flower, where the flower has opened up more! This crocus (Crocus) flower is one of the most important food sources for bees due to the ability to bloom early. As part of the Black and White Challenge, I have already presented you to the flower, but today I would like to go into more detail about it.
This perennial plant can actually be found pretty much worldwide and the wild form of this plant can be found mainly in Asia, Africa and Europe. Typically, Crocus grows on meadows or on roadsides and there are so many different colors such as yellow, orange, purple or white. Crocus can already be found from January and is a small and inconspicuous plant which often does not grow larger than 2 - 30 cm. The very well-known red spice saffron is also obtained from a certain type of crocus, from Crocus sativus.
Now I would like to come to a topic that interests me personally much, the healing effect of plants. This plant was already known by the ancient Egyptians as a medicinal plant and also in ancient Germanic medicine, it was known. I found out that Crocus can have a positive effect on collagen production and therefore it could be very interesting as an anti-aging resource.
It can also be interesting against other diseases such as asthma or stomach complaints, but it is no longer used so often as a medicine today. As always, it is important to mention that you should always ask your doctor about the correct application and side effects.
Crocus is also known in symbolism and a typical sign of the beginning of spring. Other symbols associated with this plant are hope and joy, also with the hope of unearthly life as aliens as some would call it, it was connected. The plant is also known in ancient Greek mythology and is connected to Zeus, Hera and hermes. Crocus is also known in Roman mythology and in general, I find it interesting every time to inform myself about the mythology of plants.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you like my Post! I took the pictures with my camera Sony Alpha 6000 and 55-210 mm lens!
Wow how beautiful it is I can't believe, It feels like its an artificial follower but no its not, because such beauty is not found in artificial things but in natural things only.
Beautiful words that I can only agree to 100%. Some flowers are really a true miracle! Thanks for your visit and have a nice day :)
As you said "Some flowers are really a true miracle" this follower is one of them I liked it so much.
Crocus is no doubt a beautiful plant, does it spread fragrance ?
Good question! Yes, they do, I even believe that fragrances are obtained from it.
Wow, that's great to hear that.
All these flowers looks so beautiful and amazing. Natural sights are very beautiful to the human heart and when we go to such places and see them with lots of plants, the human heart becomes very happy.
Thanks for your nice feedback, happy you like it! Wish you also a great day dear @djbravo
Most welcome dear. Have a nice day to you too.
hello @elevator09, that is, this plant has many talents so to speak, what you say about the aliens and the plant catches my attention, I have always thought that they are already in this world, what they do is help us to advance technologically, not anymore They come to destroy us, we already do that, we destroy each other, if I were an alien I wouldn't bother destroying anything, I would let humans do it, there is too much evil in this world, starting with those who rape and kill children
Thanks for reading. Exactly the plant is associated with the belief in supernatural life and in ancient times there was this connection. That’s probably true in a way and I got a similar opinion. Much is also put into an bad light with films and so on. Have a nice day dear @lupega
Amazing colour flower

Wow, this is extraordinary, the flowers are so beautiful and also very rosy, I like it.
Thank you very much and have a nice day :)
