Here you can see a sculpture of Buddha that I photographed recently and the background also fits well with this important part of Buddhist culture and I would like to go into more detail about the spiritual side in this context. Buddha embodies in the whole wisdom and one of the most important topics of Buddhism is the complete enlightenment as well as the development of the whole potential and according to views, the enlightened state is considered a level of being and is not based on the principles of faith but the liberations from external influences that influence the way of thinking. It is not an easy way to archive complete enlightenment and one of the most important prerequisites is to detach oneself from principles that influence our actions or thinking and it is also important to consider everything as a whole and to put aside ideas of different values and spiritual practices such as meditation are one of the most important influencing factors. In the first phases of enlightenment, it is about merging more with the environment and those who are fully enlightened look at everything from a different perspective and no longer see themselves as a part of the environment and the focus is the own self and that without any form of prejudice or ideal. An important focus is the knowledge about the inner self up to enlightenment with the help of the knowledge about one's own nature and a Buddha does not see himself as a bearer of divine messages and in focus is his own understanding instead of revelations. Part of enlightenment is the rejection of suffering and the pursuit of happiness and the transformation into a Buddha is one of the most important goals of the Buddhists and even if there are differences, there are some parallels to the inner alchemy where the focus is also on the transformation of one's own self and some influences of Buddhism are also associated with the philosophy of Chinese alchemy. If you are generally interested in more about alchemy in China, I can recommend this contribution from me here where I have already discussed the topic in more detail.
